It did not repair my fridge, so I just don't know. That may not have been the problem. but for the price I thought it was worth the try.My fridge was almost 8 years old, so I bought a new one.

Refrigerator stopped working one night. Google resulted in a gamble on replacing the thermostat and or defrost sequence mechanism. I decided to spend the $xx.xx on this thermostat. Result: refrigerator is back in working condition. Saved me $xxx.xx on a repairman and $xxxx.xx on a new refrigerator.Shipping was relatively instant and packaging was okay. Only foremost interest I had was the metal wire (probe). When it at home, it was twisting. I had to unravel it and affect it to the slot in the fridge. I was worried I would snap it but it held up.If this part facility on your refrigerator and you suspect it's the thermostat, I definitely urge export this product. Amazon's return policy is a plus as well.

This was just what I looked-for. I was ready to go shopping for a new fridge. Did a little research and thought this would fix me up. It was a great price and came on time. Fit beautifully and I feel be fond of there's a few more years left in the old fridge.

About this piece: The part received matched the original perfectly. No delivery harms. Functions just as it should, as far as I can tell. Packaging was a little casual, luckily it is not a fragile piece.To other handy-personnel wondering if they should replace their fridge's thermostat: We be inflicted including an older fridge that was cycling on and off erratically. Symptoms could be temporarily relieved by tapping directly on the thermostat housing. Seemed likely that the thermostat was sticky. On replacing the thermostat the erratic cycling was cured but I was surprised to find that other odd behaviors such as compressor-motor noise and excessively long running times be inflicted including also been cured. Who knew thermostats affected all that (not me!).

Prearranged the extra and unused part keep for as it arrived it looked be fond of a previously used part. However, we looked-for it so used it. All is effective fair so at present here are no complaints...If I had extra calculate I probably would be inflicted including called in to complain.

Thought this was the bad part in view of the fact that the fridge would just shut down, unless you knocked it right where this is located. After having it take place one nighttime and ruining a lot of food I looked up the part on an appliance parts web site. I decided to plug the part # into Amazon and see what happened. There it was for less and FREE shipping. I ordered it and it arrived on time, packed safely cushioned in its box.Unplug the fridge and take out the blanket housing the old one it making sure to keep track of the screw. Make note of the position of everything then exchange exactly with the new one. I Put everything back and two months before long not one shut down, everything works great. Very happy with part, order process and price.
