Samsung RF323TEDBSR 31.6 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator - Energy Star Purchaser Reviews

If you be inflicted including opportunity for it, this is a refrigerator to own. Water and ice options, extremely large (profound) freezer and many options for storing bits and pieces, especially in larger volumes. Like gallons of milk, beverage or beer and wine. It's a splendid apparatus that's easy to install and run. If you're in the market for a large unit, this is worth an serious peek. We love it.

A bit of description... We purchased the Kenmore Elite 31 cu.ft. version last December (2011) from Sears. After production with multiple failures and relentless benefit calls (all on the ice apparatus), we everlastingly traded it in for this one. We basically had three choices for a generous room French door fridge - the Kenmore Elite, the LG and the Samsung. After near a year of production with relentless benefit calls and erratic ice, I wasn't keen to give that ice apparatus set-up a further try. So we went with the Samsung. (The LG has the same mechanisms as the Kenmore). The Good:I have to say I was a modest disappointed at first. I like the open ridge interval that the in-door ice apparatus affords. I also like the three layers of drawers in the freezer. That all altered once I loaded up the new Samsung. The extra interval in the door of the Samsung turned out to be WAY more than I anticipated. The Kenmore and LG have the slim shelving on the ice apparatus side. That seems like it would be ample, but let me tell you, it's not. Persons shelves are so slim, that only just any condiments fit in them. And you can only fit one row. It doesn't seem like a big deal in anticipation of you are rifling owing to a full refrigerator looking for a tiny but too-around-to-fit-in-the-door jar of jelly that has made its way to the back of the underside ridge because you don't use it that often. Having all of my heap of condiments, jellies, dressings and miscellaneous jars of whatever that persons side shelves are meant for, is value the less than open feel of the interior of the fridge. And even if the interior seems smaller because of the ice apparatus, the Samsung is in fact one cubic foot better than the LG and the Kenmore - that doesn't seem like a lot, but my full Kenmore Elite was noticeably less full when I transferred all to the Samsung. That additional one cubic foot by the side of with the extra side ridge interval made a HUGE difference. The other big plus is that you can open the aptly side drawer on the Samsung even if the left door is clogged. You couldn't do that with the Kenmore. To open the drawer on the aptly side, you had to open BOTH fridge doors. Who's sharp design idea was that?Mixed Assess Facial appearance:The doors are SO easy to open. With the Kenmore, there were times I had to actually pull to get them open. And now and again the kids couldn't even get them open - which can be a blessing or a curse. Now my six year old is basically able to get herself a further glass of milk... sorry to say, so is my two year old JThe only noticeable difference with the doors is how they accurate. The Kenmore was tiresome to open, but easy to accurate. That meant a LOT of inadvertently slammed doors. The Samsung has a sort of catch before the door closes. Basically it just earnings that you have to want to accurate the door. It beyond skepticism won't be dying on its own. Over again, that could be a good point or a bad - depending on your inclination. Also, the left door is configured in a way that it doesn't stay open on its own. If you can open it and hold it open for a little, it will stay. But if you just push it all the way open, it WILL accurate on you. I spoke to a technician and that's how it is - not anything can be altered. It's only a big deal with I'm loading up the weekly cuisine. I move a bar stool over to hold it open and it works fine. Tiny vex.The ice point (the few times is in fact worked) on the Kenmore was fine, but I actually am not a fan of push one pin, get some ice, push a further pin, get the fill up. The Samsung has two break "paddles" - one for ice, one for fill up. Very well-located - primarily for the kids. Not very well-located is the place of the fill up as long as tube. I've by now sodden the kitchen baffle three times. It is very accurate to the front. I in fact find for myself holding the glass forwards and pushing the fill up row with my fiddle with. Not very well-located. It works fine for generous glasses or pitchers, but not ordinary glasses, and beyond skepticism not sippy cups or smaller glasses. Language of pitchers - this one is big ample to fit our Zero Fill up pitcher and the fill up container for our coffee maker. The Kenmore, while tall, was just barely too short to fill any all the way.A further neat feature is that the ice maker will push extra ice down into the underside freezer into an ice bin. This is a good and bad. It's good because the upper ice bin is tiny. If you have a generous assemble of broadcast who all use ice, you will probably run out. Even if, this fridge will involuntarily fill an ice bin in the top drawer of the freezer. That bad news is that it takes away from some interval in your freezer. Even if there is a way to turn this gathering off (I place of safeguard't looked into it yet), there is a channel to contend with. If you put food too far back on that side of the top drawer in the freezer, it will preclude it from dying. The ONE business I don't like:Only having two layers of drawers in the underside freezer. The underside section is DEEP. There actually is no way to systematize such a deep drawer with the irregularly shaped frozen food harvest. At nominal amount no way to systematize it and keep it that way while in fact using it. I find for myself constantly reorganizing or digging for equipment.By and large:Even even if it was a pain, I'm so glad we had to chat our Kenmore. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Samsung. Having had both, I would HIGHLY urge the Samsung over the Kenmore and probably the LG in view of the fact that it is configured basically the same way. If you are looking for a generous room French door with a underside freezer - THIS is your fridge!Other Clarification:I purchased this from Sears and I cannot call attention to how lucky I am with Sears Benefit. I had the Blue Crew out 6 times over the span of 11 months. During persons 6 visits, I only saw two uncommon technicians, both of whom were very well-informed and uncomplaining and keen to do whatever business to help get my ice apparatus to work. One of the techs even went out of his way to take some of the parts outside to assemble them because it would be loud and my two-year old was compelling a nap! Talk about Consumer Benefit!! When I everlastingly threw in the towel on the Kenmore, it was a very quick and easy administer to restore the old fridge and get a new one. The Consumer Benefit Rep was exceptionally nice and apologetic and made the restore administer absolutely hassle-free!

Not anything but problems and the repair company reaffirmed that Samsung is a dreadful refrigerator. RUN FROM AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

I bought my fridge early Lowe’s in check over of the fact including the intention of the sales nature understood including the intention of this is the most excellent fridge made known here. I fancy I look into the Amazon reviews before to believing the sales expressive in the pile. This fridge is a nightmare to take care of business including. The hoarfrost NEVER comes made known in cubes – it crushes it including approximately snow dust (cannot deposit it in the go – splendid pro snow cones, I estimate). I had benefit broadcast recommend itself made known three era and everlastingly Samsung tech help understood including the intention of ‘this is how this element runs’. I had issues including appalling blast as I would taste to get on to approximately fill up, keep pro thankfully it got flat exhaust (don’t admit how lingering it will continue – the fridge is release 8 mos ancient). The freezer drawer does not recommend itself made known/commence basically – I be inflicted including to deposit all my energy into tiresome to commence the lobby and at that calculate dive into the freezer to get on to no matter what business made known. Keep pro at that calculate, the drawer lobby hits me, as it slides in trade at approximately calculate ago. The dual top pro fill up and hoarfrost (hoarfrost is shorter and fill up is longer) – the top is extremely awkward. The fill up everlastingly leaks as I taste to get on to approximately fill up and if I taste to get on to hoarfrost, the fill up runs at the initiation. I be inflicted including called the consumer benefit so loads of era keep pro they are not keen to aid, adage including the intention of this is a ‘habitual’ functioning. Currently it is excessively in the dead of night to restore/chat and I am blocked including this appalling refrigerator. I had Kenmore in the earlier cycle and by no means had to encourage a benefit (lone lasted 10 being and the additional lone is soothe effective at my mom’s household, including 8 being and three moves).

I kindness this enormous fridge I don't flush admit everywhere to put material here is so greatly opportunity. It is greatly quieter than the vortex I had. Crushed ice and coolness filtered fill up for each one, no extra can you get me fill up? all day. The lighting is awesome and all the uncommon business to do with shelving solely awesome. Samsung solely keeps building my household awesome, TV, BlueRay,Tab, Cell and now Fridge Samsung you rock now get on to at that calculate all have a discussion to one a additional.Bring up to date 2months shortly kindness flush extra this is why. My 2 year old establish out everywhere everyones fill up comes from and as nature-determining as she is gave it a try. Yep! unendorsed and unfazed by the gallons of fill up on the stump. The fill up top is non age prejudiced even if here is a fix solely call the lock pin and presto kid water-resistant. Our acquaintances have all had this conundrum we are told (with the detail of way ) but they don't own Samsung with the lock pin.

I am beyond frustrated with this refrigerator that I purchased 16 months ago. The cooling system is a mess; our food spoils regularly and even if the warmth is set low according to the digital display, it is not what it registers with our own digital thermometer. The upper ice maker creates ice that is soft and doesn't produce enough to keep up with our family of five. It stopped making ice along with the lower ice maker a couple of months ago. The lower ice maker continues to be a MAJOR problem. We had it replaced in August and it has since been serviced two more era because it was not making ice. The main control panel has been replaced in the hopes it would remedy the situation. It stopped working again two days ago so I had to put in a fourth service call. Thankfully I purchased the extended warranty from the retailer, otherwise I would be looking at a wasted $3000 and hundreds more in repair costs. The only positive about this refrigerator is the amount if space, which is nothing special as I can likely get that with another brand. If I may possibly rate this lower than one star, I would. Don't dissipate your money!!!

Part:: 0:46 MinsSamsung French Lobby refrigerators have an Achilles' Heel. There is a fancy, hinged flange including the intention of creates a seal between the doors. As it facility, it creates a extremely skilled seal. Conundrum is--it relies on a couple of indigent springs to influence it into position. Including 2 years of perfectly normal aid, lone of the indigent jump housings cracked, and the jump popped out. Not easily fixable. Compounding the conundrum, our beloved local machine servicer can't even get parts pro Samsung fridges. Washed-out a lingering calculate on the phone including Samsung, asking pro some aid, such as carriage the part pro emancipated, I bear the expense of installing it. Seems fair, save pro they robotically do again "it's normal grind-and-tear". Yeah, guaranteed. I'm 48, have owned any digit of fridges, ordinarily they go 20 years including no harms, this is definitely the initially where the lobby has broken! Bring shame on, if not it is a kind machine at a evenhanded price.I will update including expense some calculate ago I get the part early the place they aimed at me to.

This refrigerator is open additional than all dreams! I've everlastingly had side to side fridges before to, so this was new to me. This top will in tears your mentality. You no longer be inflicted with to a) bend over unnaturally to discover the milk on the ridge in your parents freezer-on-top develop of old. Nor do you be inflicted with to try to agonize in this area everywhere you're inane to put a touch over 12 inches in width. I absolutely kindness the superfluous interval with the intention of the french lobby on top affords! I kindness with the intention of I can put wide equipment (pizza, big casserole dishes) in the fridge flat and not be inflicted with to roll. Here is so greatly interval in this thing it is ludicrous. I was forever in succession out of interval in my old fridge but I haven't flush occur accurate with this one.The downside: I'm not guaranteed what's inane on but it makes actually loud noises. It ongoing innocuously ample the at the initiation few months with louder than expected banging at unsystematic era. With the intention of was fair, who was I to preview the gift colt of the interval utopia in the backtalk? I may possibly be in this planet with a modest blast. It got louder. At that calculate louder. Finally, I planning pulling if I just influence in trade out of early the roadblock it would aid. OMG! Approximately calculate ago I did with the intention of it sounded be fond of the total house was being below machine gun hit. I be inflicted with contacted Samsung and I desire they will aid, just sought after to let those know if they are considering it to be attentive with the intention of this may possibly be an come forth for them. Will bring up to date as the makings fix progresses...

The unit is big. Lots of storage interval. I planning two ice makers was overkill, but I use both daily. The water seems to flow faster than our old unit. Inside the refrigerator the shelves falling in line are akin to most units in this price range. I like the French lobby design including the freezer on the bottom. Result bits and pieces in the freezer is moderately easy including two drawers. What I don't like: it is on the noisy side. The lobby ice maker is gradual to initiation. The freezer lobby pulls out farther than one would reflect, but you be inflicted including to pull tricky for the continue bit. Lastly, the freezer lobby does not always push to all the way. I feel the pros out way the cons and would buy the unit again. I got it on sale at lowes including a five year warranty for around 2500. I hardly ever get the warranties but i feel the quality of appliances be inflicted including degraded over the being to the point that necessitates getting one. Sorry to say, I be inflicted including had to use my warranties on most of my new appliances. As this one fails I will move everything to my 30 year old refrigerator in the basement like I did including the continue one

I have done a few months investigate before to export this model and have had it for over a month now. I would buy it again.CDI's before assess is categorically spot on (delight read it), I do not want to do again but will add a link of points.Point - it is a sleek looking, clean point. We went back and forth between this and the LG and planning this one wins. It is confidential of way. For model the water/ice point hollow space edges do not jut out or overlap with the stainless steel face - think of a under-mount sink in your kitchen vs fixed one. Sight is cleanly methodical and the blue illumination are cool.Noise - it is a fair bit quieter than the old side by side Vortex it replaced. Customers crash has the fridge in their top choice category by and large and rates noise to be Very Good. Very few have Exceptional in that category. Noise level doubtless depends on the point setup. My fridge is in a hollow space and that muffles the noise for sure. If one of the sides is exposed, noise will be more noticeable. I don't know going into a quiet store and charitable it a take note can help. Not a appeal for me even if.A piece of in rank. Both LG and Samsung have stainless steel enclosed ice and water point plates/buttons. If you push the plates a few times with a glass or terracotta cup, plates will scrape. I bought dosage cover bodyguard, cut two pieces shaped like the plates and it worked very well. The only thing that could be stuck-up is freezer describe. As keen out before to, underneath drawer is deep and could have been split in two levels, i.e. have three levels in the freezer as different to two. It would not be fair if I deducted a star for that as there are so many other equipment done right on this fridge, hence my rating.AN UPDATE AFTER 10 MONTHS of USE: - in outline - no discontent at all - noise level has not augmented. Not the most silent fridge but noise is easy to get used to. - amazing space. Right door holds 14 drink cans per shelf - non stacked!. Left door can hold 4L pack of milk and quite a few tall bottles and jars, disparate the LG (which I was compelling into account at the time). - never had to deal with stuck ice. In-fridge ice-maker is not in the door (and takes very modest helpful space in the fridge itself), hence ice never melts and brushwood, disparate the LG. - there is a flap on the cold drawer where you can restore or even pull stuff in or out lacking pulling out the drawer. It works even after notch just one door as the notch space is ample for many equipment - infinitely well-located for me. - ice makers can be twisted on or off in isolation. Mine are both off most of the time. I only turn an ice maker on when it is empty while at the same time I never run out of ice as the other ice maker is like a back up. - ice and water dispensers are very well calculated, disparate the LG.Minor upset stomach: - left door does not stay open - by point. When I am loading the left side of the fridge, I have to hold it most of the time. - drawers in the freezer can be methodical a bit best - more particularly, the upper drawer must not reluctantly come out as I open the freezer as most of the time I have to push it back to door underneath of the freezer.Tip: - care for Ice and Water point plates as they can be scratched by class or terracotta cups. I bought a super cheap iPad cover bodyguard and cut two pieces shaped as the two plates and then stuck them on. It looks good too.
