Architect Series II KDDC24CVS 4.8 cu. ft. Capacity Double Drawer Refrigerator/Freezer Electronic Controls Interior LED Lights Factory-installed Automatic Ice Maker: Stainless Steel Customer Reviews

Architect Series II KDDC24CVS 4.8 cu. ft. Capacity Double Drawer Refrigerator/Freezer Electronic Controls Interior LED Lights Factory-installed Automatic Ice Maker: Stainless Steel Customer Reviewswe've had our unit for over three years and it performs great. the top refrig is handy at the wet bar for drinks and the freezer keeps the ice within reach, too. looks good and everyone complements us on the unit.
- T. Boyer

Bad design, : We've owned this refrigerator for slightly over three being. In that time, the control board in the top ridge failed twice ( part expenditure $510), and the wiring to the top drawer (part expenditure $110) has failed four times. The movement of the top drawer when you open and accurate it bends it back and forth so it eventually breaks. Two weeks ago the wiring broke again, and then over the weekend the fridge and freezer failed completely (compressor won't run).Bad consumer service: I reflect Whirlpool must make a fridge that doesn't break, or that at least the repair parts must be cheap (250 feet of the wire used in the $110 top drawer wiring expenditure $100 online). I called Whirlpool to complain and I was told by the self on the phone that the fridge was "made by humans" and it is so complicated with all the onboard electronics that I must "guess the fridge to break" this frequently, so it was my flaw that I didn't buy the extended warranty coverage ($519).We are going to exchange this with another fridge from a uncommon manufacturer.
- Jamie White

Run for your go to get away from this nightmare of an overpriced and impractical cut of potential-sucking useless items. Water supply, maybe if you love high utility bills and want to tint only salad plates and tea set, you'll be lucky. If not buy whatever thing else. I would gladly trade my 15-year-old dishwasher in the house I just sold for this worthless thing. Oh - it doesn't clean water supply either. I be inflicted including to pre-tint everything and placement-tint a section of every dinner plate. Cut of *(**&&@&^^#
- sarahmn

This modest devil maintains our provisions and go at the perfect love. Freezer drawer has a great, at approximately calculate ago hoarfrost maker. Fits impeccably in our kitchen and if anyone asks why we may maybe aspire this compact element including the intention of expenditure near double the fee of generous, "American" refrigerator freezers, the pledge is: quality. No conundrum including compressor blast. If we had the opportunity we would approve of a additional lone now!
- Kenneth A. Patterson "The Haunted Studios(tm)"

I agree including the other assessor including the intention of this unit is extremely loud. The surrounded by layout is kind, and it facility water supply, save pro I wouldn't have bought it if I had known it was this loud.
- n wiser

bought unit 1 time ago the wire that feds power to the top draw of unit ruined awaited to constant bending there is no recall per kitchen aid although they will fix as good will gesture there is no way to prevent this from possibility occurances would not recommend
- EDWARD JORDAN

We just purchased this refrigerator/freezer. The design seems extremely kind and practical, not anything bad to say in this vicinity including the intention of. However, the element is exceptionally loud. I am twenty five feet dead from the refrigerator as I type this assess and I can pocket notice of the cooling fan apparent as a bell. We had a technician try out it out and he understood including the intention of is just the way it is and there was not anything he may possibly do in this vicinity it. If you do shape to buy this element, may I suggest you also purchase a good set of ear plugs.

Kitchenaid KSF26C4XYY 35 1/2-Inch, 26 Cu. Ft. Standard-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator Purchaser Reviews

This manufactured goods has been a nightmare. I purchased it on the 3rd of June 2013 and it died surrounded by two weeks. We lost in excess of $400 of steaks and food due to the fact that the refrigerator bunged cooling. The benefit renovate companionship was very suitable, but knowledgeable me that the full motherboard had to be replaced and the part wouldn't ship from vortex in anticipation of the 3rd of July 2013. The motherboard, being the brain of the apparatus, joystick all. The renovate companionship cannot come out in anticipation of the 11th of July to replace the failed part. I called Vortex Consumer Benefit and they knowledgeable me that here is not anything that they can do to accelerate the renovate or offer any key to the hardships that the consumer (for myself) had endured. Most terrible consumer benefit I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. I will by no means buy another KitchenAid or Vortex manufactured goods over again.
- Randy

Like the shiny looking, but it died less than 6 month, renovate 3 era, no fix. Poor manufactured goods, poor benefit, it's 2 month ago, I still have no frige to use now, have to refund to buy a new one. Countless trouble. Run as far as u can.
- H

bought this fridge including researching extensively. loved it in anticipation of it died 5 months including I bought it. looked-for a extra compressor, and extra valve and the electrical element including the intention of facility the valve. including the intention of isn't terrible ample...it has been three weeks and I soothe be inflicted including not gotten a full renovate. it took 11 income pro their certified renovate supermarket in my vicinity to consent to me admit including the intention of the part was backordered and they didn't admit as they were being compensated it. I called kitchen boost frankly to get on to the parts shipped to me and had to ask for pro an expedited consignment if not I would be inflicted including waited a additional 10 income. the renovate supermarket won't schedule an appointment in anticipation of the part is in hand. they everlastingly showed up and lone of the parts was gone a cut, and currently I be inflicted including to pass the time a additional week in check over of the fact including the intention of flush even if the part is in have a give of they won't be inflicted including it in anticipation of Monday and at that calculate they will encourage me to schedule a additional appointment. repairman who came to the household told us including the intention of he sees these refrigerators contravention not effective all the calculate. Including including the intention of and a dreadful consumer benefit spin calculate including kitchen boost and their renovate representatives, I greatly urge to pause dead kitchen boost harvest. It would be inflicted including been faster to go approve of a extra fridge and be inflicted including it delivered.
- L. Rinaldi

Just a couple of years with spending $9K on a refrigerator, the main notebook board broke. We were told the part is no longer available due to a Japanase tsunami. Really, Vortex? With the intention of's what you've got? They did offer to sell us a new one, however, at a slightly cut-rate fee. Wait for it . . . . oh yes, there is no notebook part for the new one any. And, by the way, it took them 4 phone calls, 7 weeks, and me permanently asking for a supervisor to even reply to the original investigation. Really unbelievable. Who is running this place?

Kitchenaid KSC24C8EYY 35 1/2-Inch, 24 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator Recent Reviews

This KitchenAid 23.9 cf counteract depth refrigerator is great, surrounded by and out. Very well constructed and it runs ultra-quietly. The fit and close are superb. The doors and drawers line up impeccably. And the refrigerator is exceptionally sturdy in advent and proceedings. It just feels solid when you open and close the doors. This unit is biased with facial appearance counting water and air filtration, produce safeguard, leisurely fill, etc. etc. The interior LED illumination are well placed, stunning and sharp. Our fruits and veggies last longer with the crisper's built in produce safeguard and we love the leisurely fill map which is impeccably true and use this every day.We would greatly urge this refrigerator to our family tree and acquaintances.
- Robo21

We purchased this great deactivate-depth refrigerator but it came from the factory with a disfigured front door that was also misaligned and the by and large refrigerator had some fake destruction. Eventually, the ice maker just stop building ice. We complained and after a additional week we got a additional new KitchenAid that looked exact. But, alas, the delight of substitution was to be short-lived. Surrounded by 24 hours we realized that the ice maker was not effective. We called the factory and they sent out a local renovate benefit the next day (good benefit!)who diagnosed the conundrum as a defective dual valve (the one for the filter water) worked. Read-owing to for spare parts at Vortex, we found that the valve had to be back-approved. This is startling since the valve is used on a lot of Vortex refrigerators. In the meantime, a few chunks of ice would form but the flow, as the renovate man exposed, was top bolt from the blue and there were few cubes twisted. Very near at once, a following conundrum occurred when we ongoing to use the filtered water point: When you place a container under the vehicle, water goes into the container, but water from everyplace else leaks into the refrigerator door and down the further than of the door, leave-compelling a pond to clean up from my smashed hardwood floor. So, again, after much argumentative about a "lemon" refrigerator, my dealer has reluctantly unbendable to pick-up my refrigerator and give me back my money. A sad run of actions. My in rank is just don't buy it!
- EAmigo

I think we were one of the first to get this refrigerator. It has been splendid. Like all about it but since I got one of the first ones I am sweet sure they fixed some of the issues I have with mine in later models. The dispenser electronics are glitchy, when choosing a fill level, Develop - when using "liters" it will stop when I get up to around 150 so I have to let go of the upset pad, and try it over again to get it up to 185 (that is the size of the pitcher I fill with fill up for building coffee every day). Also the accuracy fluctuates greatly when using "cups" as a unit of measure. The main reason I logged in now was looking to see if ice maker issues are prevalent. Mine stopped working with replacing the fill up filter. Fill up dispenser facility fine, but ice maker only makes a few cubes then stops. (I cleaned the ice pail with warm fill up to see if anything was causing a switch or sensor to fail. No luck. (ice pail design is my pet part of the fridge. It's design just facility. :-) ) Next I put it on Max Ice setting several days ago, no change. Max cold, same business. I now have all normalized and hear a regular clicking so waiting to see if it facility or not. If not, calling the pile we bought it from as they are renowned for their repair service. Just a modest worried they have an "02" version of this frig out so soon with I bought my "01".
- R. Kelso

Terrible refrigerator!! I'm very happy for the costumer who can got his money in trade. I've had service on this for 4 uncommon thing in less than a year. The drawers are in a very bad shape, they look be fond of a 100 being old. pricey and very bad fridge, ice maker does not bring about by the book, the seals of the door have been replaced 2 times, etc. Do not approve of it!!!
- Sandra

If you are looking into export this fridge, DON'T! I bought it in check over of the fact that it fit my kitchen. The ice maker by no means worked. I had to take care of business with Kitchen Aid to get it flat. Sounds undemanding, but it was vexing manufacture with persons incompetent broadcast. All call to them takes solely below an hour. I had numerous appointments which had to be cancelled at the continue little in check over of the fact that Kitchen Aid put in the wrong information. As the repair companies (yes, THREE uncommon companies) everlastingly came to fix it; I was assured the ice maker was everlastingly flat. Water supply, it is not. I am being compensated a new one, and I will by no means take care of business with this companionship ended again. Luckily, I bought the replacement preparation from the apparatus store and they will hurl me a new one in a uncommon strain.
- beth ward

We had this refrigerator for 6 months and Kitchenaid had to exchange it with a new unit, but the same develop. Harms - tiny ice storage space, fill up comes out of the top warm, so you have to dump the at the initiation 8 oz and then it comes out cold, as the fill up hose is not insulated well surrounded by the door ( this is just bad top, and I am scared most of them are like that). The gasket almost the door sucks one door in with more potential than the additional, so the doors by no means align, no theme what and how many era our renovate team tried. They even replaced the door absolutely - soothe all the same harms. The surrounded by wall between the fridge and freezer constantly gets saving on it all over the house and fill up just runs down the wall. It is austerely a bad top, but the conundrum as they say is they make all counterdepth models like that these days, and they all suck... so go map. With 6 month of attempted repairs, we got that substitution fridge. The new refrigerator we got was having all the same harms so KitchenAid gave us a refund. We just got a Bosch as a substitution for (2 months ago). We like is much more. It has a link of equipment that are just not very smart top, but it is not charitable us performance harms as Kitchenaid did. The ice top room is much privileged, no harms with fill up, the yield drawer is much better than Kitchenaid and they hold out completely. It is just a best fridge. Honestly, I do not know what is going on with Kitchenaid ( or Vortex), but we have bought a wine refrigerator from them that has all kinds of top flaws, and their refrigerator is just a huge disappointment. We have their pro run cooktop and a array hood and we like both a lot ( even if here was a flaw in top of cooktop that an experienced person tech managed to decipher artistically). I just have no confidence in Kitchenaid any more.
- Mila

I recently moved and the void appliances were from the 80s and flush though they soothe worked, the crazy road sign and treatment costs weren't working for me. I fell in love including this refrigerator at a community retail store and months before long, I soothe love it. This feature-by-feature refrigerator not release looks splendid, it performs water supply too!I prefer the feature-by-feature selection ended the trendier french doors and this refrigerator has plenty of style and gathering to get on to it a splendid selection. The water map has a digital panel including the intention of reins: mode of ice, temperature of water dispensed, set alight (full, dim or not any), ponytail, options and measured fill (provides amount dispensed in ounces). This panel provides plenty of customization and I love being competent to tinker including these settings. The refrigerator interior is roomy and has four shelves on top including two being adjustable and three bins on the bottom including the lowest having temperature control and the one higher than it damp. The entrance has five container shelves including the intention of are adjustable apart from for the top one including its own lid. The water filter takes up a tiny space on the top interior ridge (measuring 6' x 2.5") and replacements are $30-40.The freezer interior is a cut-rate amount of roomy including the ice maker and generous water as long as vicinity. There are four adjustable shelves on top and two bins on bottom. The freezer entrance has two adjustable shelves. Flush though better water top takes room dead from the freezer, I prefer the selection to use better glasses and go containers. I use to use regular glasses to fill better containers and this one allows me to use the better container frankly.I live in NYS and it rates this refrigerator on the higher end of the energy efficiency extent and assess almost $59 per time to run. Please annotation including the intention of flush if this refrigerator appears stainless steel, release the adjoin is - the feature panels are regular panels in gray grey.I based my continue refrigerator purchase on looks and facial appearance including bad results (facial appearance did not bring about as promised and it was not water supply-organized) and swore I would do a better job then time. This time I did good, no, splendid! This Kitchenaid feature-by-feature refrigerator looks splendid, performs water supply, has bags of facial appearance including the intention of are in cooperation helpful and consistently bring about, has a roomy interior including adjustable shelves and is extremely energy water supply-organized. I am detective novel including this purchase and vastly urge this refrigerator. I think it's worth each cent.

Kitchenaid KBFS20EVWH Counter-Depth French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator 19.8 cu. ft. in White Recent Reviews

Since you're paying a lot for a modest fridge like this, it must to work right. Unfortunately that is not what happens with this model. My advice is to avoid it if you have a better option, or be sure to get an extended benefit contract. These can be purchased at any time.Poor Point:* The doors typically pop back open a modest when you close them with a push, and the door alarm will not sound if this happens.* The water point is in a terrible location, as is the icemaker. They get in the way, and both are more vex than they are worth.* The fake cover for the deli tray attaches to fake pegs to crate a hinge. These pegs get stressed and break sweet easily, just from regular use. The deli cover will start popping loose and then the pegs break.Known Water/Ice problems:* Food in the back of the fridge routinely freezes even with the domestic thermostat set at 38 degrees F. I've found other Kitchenaid fridge owners mentioning this problem online. One not compulsory solution is to not use the icemaker, but that hasn't worked for me. Items at the back of the fridge tend to freeze.* Worse, after a year of use the drain system clogged and iced up, which requires significant try or a qualified to fix. The condenser is constantly removing humidity to a drain that terminates in a pan under the fridge where an evaporator (radiator) is held to disperse it into the outside/room air. If the drain line clogs it will ice up, and then the newly draining water will pool in the underside of the freezer. You may not notice this until there is a generous sheet of ice at the underside of the freezer and incoming drain water is inane over the ice and out the freezer door onto your floor. This isn't all that obvious, so like me the initially thing you might notice is your wood floor warping and sinking under one of the front feet of the fridge. To clear the drain everything has to be removed and the fridge shut down to de-ice. Then you can snake the drain line or flush it with air or water. If the icing resumes, you probably have a broken evaporator.I had this icing problem just as our 1 year warranty was expiring. Fortunately it still roofed us, and we bought additional 5 year coverage. I'm adjusting my rating up to 3 stars since the problem was not too severe, but consequence out it's a common problem -- and in the initially year -- seems to indicate an engineering flaw. Conclusion:After a year and a half of ownership requiring benefit for repairs, I'm revising my rating up to 2 stars. Repairs took care of everything but the tendency for food in the back of the fridge to freeze, although a certified Kitchenaid repairman hoped that adjusting the doors and seal would help. It's possible the front door seals are simply inadequate or there is another problem causing the freezing inside the fridge at a 38 point temperature setting. Any way, it and the other things mentioned higher than seem to be engineering faults that are common to this model. It is serviceable with luck and care, but I do not like or recommend it.
- Dan Knauss "Dan Knauss"

I may be influenced by our terrible 10-time old Amana side by side refrigerator which died before we bought this one, but this one is a pleasure by comparison. Our choices were limited by our shallow cabinet height -- even so, the cabinets needed a bit of trimming and the pivot covers on the box removed before it fit. But some calculate ago settled into its stain, we twisted it on and with 6 months we couldn't be happier. What we be fond of: 1) temperatures pass the time rock solid in in cooperation refrigerator and freezer (and here are digital readouts to monitor; 2) Ice cream stays firm; 3) French lobby top is a dream -- straightforward lobby to each section of the refrigerator; 4) water dispenser facility splendid, has filter with a call for-exchange indicator; 5) Icemaker is fast; 6) quiet operation, single only admit it's here; 7) flexible shelving; 8) neutralize deepness makes a kind mix together with our cabinets; 9) rollers (with brakes) makes it straightforward to move out for cleaning behind. The one negative, which is endemic to this particular top, is with the intention of the bottom freezer is basically a tub with a pull-out shelf, making some hidden items trying to find. But we commence and use the refrigerator far extra often than the freeze, so the negotiate is well worth it. So far, Hooray.
- EBOB

We have had the exact constant issues as Dan Knauss in the before assess. Not anything but tribulations and we are, currently, dreading to gather how greatly the peg/pivot part from the deli drawer will deprivation to exchange now. All of our issues became noticeable including warranty. DO NOT toss your money dead on this develop. =(

Kitchenaid KSC23C8EYY 35 1/2-Inch, 23 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator Latest Reviews

Frightened off by the negative Amazon reviewers, I decided to buy this refrigerator owing to my community appliance dealer at a higher fee, rather than owing to Amazon. I even threw in the total warranty since I was so scared... But pass the time! It's actually an excellent refrigerator, and of no less quality than the $9,000 Sub Zip built-ins with the intention of I've examined. After six months of ownership this refrigerator is a greatly better choice than my extremely akin ten-year-old Samsung feature-by-feature (COSTCO) which it replaces. It's greatly quieter, it maintains temperatures extra accurately, it's better looking, and it's interior layout is extra useful.I tenderness it, and wonder just how this upgraded Vortex refrigerator earns such low ratings on both Amazon's and Burn's websites?
- Macondray J. Steiger

I purchased this refrigerator in November of 2011. Upon connect the fill up line burst open spewing fill up the planet over. The batter in the freezer was too fleeting so each five outline timer touchtone phone logic bells would go off in view of the fact that it planning the freezer door was open. Some of the illumination would come on from time to time. The fill up top freezes up. All of these occurred aptly from the factory. Needless to say we couldn't use the manufactured goods for the at the initiation 60 days. At nominal amount we kept our old fridge so we may maybe use even as we fought with Kitchenaid. With many lengthy calls they everlastingly unbendable to take this lemon out of our household and exchange with a new one. I must have asked for my cash back and bought a upset else. They did fix a link of the bits and pieces so the alarms don't go off and the illumination have worked but the fill up freezing come forth was soothe here. The fix is to care for the tank. The good news is it doesn't freeze any longer, the bad is that the fill up is by no means cold. Now the refrigerator side won't cool not more than 50 degrees. The evaporator is not effective by the book and it freezes up so cold air doesn't circulate owing to the fridge. The tech planning that the superfluous calking the before tech used to help the fill up tank from freezing force be causing the come forth. He indifferent the caulking and six weeks before long, same come forth. Now they reflect it force be a valve or solenoid come forth. We've been lacking the fridge for two weeks and the part is back approved for a additional two weeks. Yes 30 days. Kitchenaid must to retract this chump and give us all our cash back. Do not buy this manufactured goods.
- Gonefishing

We establish this fridge at best approve of and really liked the preview and facial appearance. We looked at approximately reviews and proverb that the hoarfrost maker has issues. We must be inflicted including listened to additional reviews and dead including a further strain. We be inflicted including had the fridge 6 months and the hoarfrost maker has worked a cut-rate amount of than 2 of persons months. We be inflicted including had the renovate gentleman made known 4 era and each calculate it seems to get on to of poorer quality, not best. Its in detail 6pm and I be inflicted including been coming up pro so far a further renovate gentleman to trade show up all calculate. The fridge stopped building hoarfrost one calculate. The initially two renovate guys came made known and did not anything, The third one did a touch, which caused the fill up to over-dispence into the tray, brimming the hoarfrost tray and big the underneath of the freezer and door including fill up which promptly froze, ruining all the food and building a generous, wet, mess to clean up. Approximately calculate ago the fill up melts it will go on all over your stump, and if you be inflicted including wood floors be fond of we do, cause destruction.Vortex makes Kitchenaid and does not stand by their harvest. The be inflicted including refused to produce us a refund or exchange the fridge. The only business they will do is hurl made known an complete renovate nature who by no means shows up on calculate and doesnt manipulate the conundrum. Between buzz calls and compelling income off work to wait pro renovate broadcast we be inflicted including doubtless atrophied 40 hours of our calculate tiresome to get on to the conundrum flat tire.If you pocket pleasure in paying a premium pro a poor manufactured goods that doenst work, and be inflicted including bags of calculate to waste manufacture including it, at that calculate go so far to be and approve of this fridge. This is not the only locate that has indigent reviews of this manufactured goods. Approximately calculate ago you approve of it you are blocked including it as vortex will not be of any assistance. Best approve of has tried to be helpful keep pro they are at the mercy of the manufacturer. We bought the whole warranty and at this rank will beyond disbelief be needing it.This is the following vortex fridge we be inflicted including had (the continue one was replaced since it was made known of diplomacy as water supply!) Delight don't approve of this fridge or no matter what business vortex makes!!!
- Accountant

I was looking pro a extra fridge including the intention of was owing to here in the U.S.A. and kitchenaid makes all harvest here so i bought this lone and couldn't be best, the design is extremely shiny, extremely water supply-built. Alot of interval surrounded by.
- Kevin

I bought this Refrigerator over a year ago. It was splendid for the at the initiation month, until I establish that the fill up relations below the fridge were baggy and dripping on my strain new hardwood floors. We had the tech out to fix it, he had to diplomacy a total new fill up many. With installation, the fill up top/ice machine worked for 2 wks, benefit guy was back out to exchange the "brain". It worked for 2 months then fill up might ongoing to lower until here was not anything out of the top nor the ice machine. We have had benefit guys out 5 era in 1 year to deal with the fill up top/ice machine. It soothe doesnt work now and now we are out of warranty and will have to pay. Kitchen Aid refuses to exchange the refrigerator. I will by no means buy a additional Kitchen Aid Refrigerator. Very disappointed in the feature and benefit amount.
- Dave H

Only bought this refrigerator and as quickly as I indifferent all the packaging strip and plugged it in I be inflicted including had not anything but harms. The fit and close is sub par and the fill up top does not bring about. The illumination surrounded by now and again facility and now and again dont. The benefit guy installing the microwave and oven understood the set alight batter is bad and to encourage benefit. Im extremely disappointed. I compensated 2,100 at Sargents for this apparatus.
- Eric

Have had this for over a year now and have had no issues. I just replaced water filter from amazon and was surprise to see some negative feedbacks.

KitchenAid Pro Line Series KFCP22EXMP 36 21.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator Latest Reviews

We purchased the full suite of Kitchenaid Pro Line appliances. The refridgerator is the best piece among them, but subdue very cheaply made and not worth the money. One of my handles indoors with a slash in it and was replaced. The inside drawers are made of very flimsy thin plastic and will likely not last. The spaciousness is pretty good and the describe is logical. So far, it appears as though it is cooling evenly. Descent fridge but just definitely not worth the extra money Kitchenaid is charging. Also their feature hegemony is terrible as 3 out of 4 items indoors with problems.
- Sam

You would think if you're spending $3k on refrigerator, they might step it up in the quality department. Not so much with KitchenAid. We ended up getting the matching pro-line fridge, dishwasher, and 36" range. $10k all in. After 9 months, the compressor went out on the refrigerator. Fortunately it wasn't after 12 months, so it was covered by warranty. As if we hadn't by now decided, the renovate guy told us we must "definitely" get the extended warranty of 5 years (max). So, for a additional $300 bucks the crappy workmanship is on their dime. If we need a brand new one after that, so be it I guess - c'est la vie. Before purchasing, we were by now on the fence given the reviews we read; I'm now wishing we let them sway us more. It's tough since this fastidious line LOOKS so nice. You're keen to pony up for a higher end kitchen, and you convince yourself that since you're paying for the high end line, you won't get screwed with a cheap crap product. Falseroni.Typically I'm able to offer an different when I write a poor assess, since I very near immediately rectify the bad hold with a good one supported by positive reviews. In this case, I'm stuck with my uber expensive shiny piece of crap. The best I can do is hope none of you make the same mistake.Note: I did not hold from amazon; the commentary is on the apparatus regardless of where you hold it.

KitchenAid Architect Series II KFCS22EVMS 21.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator - SS User Reviews

KitchenAid Architect Series II KFCS22EVMS 21.8 cu. ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator - SS User ReviewsWe previously had an LG stainless steel French Door refrigerator, and it was fine, but we had to leave it in the rear as we moved. As shopping for the aptly refrigerator for the new home, I did a ton of research and decided on this one for 2 reasons: 1) all of the built-in appliances in the new household are Kitchenaid, and 2) this develop is not only counter-deepness, but it's 72" tall. We were tickled as it arrived as it fits beautifully into the space and it matches the surplus of the kitchen. But as we started actually using it, I realized how extremely glad I am with the intention of we gone with the intention of LG develop in the rear! The drawers, both in the refrigerator and freezer, glide smoothly, and I tenderness with the intention of the door shelves are lined. The deli drawer is great, since we can lay everything out in a single layer and see everything easily. We also tenderness the water dispenser inside (the exterior keeps a extremely clean and simple preview, as a result) and with the intention of it can be old to impart pitchers. Apparent-faced vegetable drawers: my sister and I were making feast, and she saw me open the vegetable drawer to preview inside. She asked, "why did you open the drawer to see what's in it?" I chuckled to for myself. Old lifestyle die tricky! But yes, you can see what's in the drawers lacking having to open them - unpleasantly just be inflicted with to get old to the awesomeness. The interior is also greatly roomier than I probable! Granted, we do be inflicted with a 2nd refrigerator in our utility room, but it is now empty - to a great degree doubtless use the 2nd one for overflow all owing to the holidays. This one is sufficient in size for our each day needs. As for maintenance the stainless steel beautiful, based on other reviews, I purchased the Weiman wipes, and they definitely do the ploy on ALL of our Kitchenaid stainless appliances (they are fantastic!)We owing to numerous large appliance purchases for the new household, and, by far, this refrigerator has been my pet.****UPDATE**** 1/28/2014I just sought after to placement an bring up to date for persons who are wondering in this area this item's reliability. It's been over 2 being, and YES, we subdue tenderness this refrigerator! We be inflicted with had zip issues and/or problems with it. The drawers subdue glide smoothly, the doors close by the book, and it's subdue gorgeous. I've altered out the filter numerous times, as scheduled (FYI, they are cheaper ordering them here on Amazon and putting them on a scheduled delivery,) and it's so easy. Just dredge up to run the water into a large pot or bowl, as directed, before drinking the water again. Also, guests who come over ask how we keep the stainless "gleaming" and fur/dust free. Persons Weiman wipes are truly a Stroke of luck, and we urge them all day long. They're now available at our grocery store, and their less than $4. One extra thing: I scan a negative assess on here in this area the doors not closing by the book... make sure your installer knows what he's doing and adjusts the levelers by the book. The guy who delivered/installed our refrigerator took great trouble to make sure it was perfect. We've NEVER had issues with the doors not closing by the book. I hope this helps and fancy you the best in your shopping!

I aspire to hug this business each daylight! But I won't- with the intention of way fabrication madness. Besides, I don't reflect DH would be fond of it. Why am I so fortunate? In check over of the fact with the intention of..I had a 25 time old, noisy Sub Zip for which I may maybe no longer find parts. It had to go. Sorry to say, we had remodeled the kitchen almost it. So I planning I was blocked with a further Sub Zip. Why do I say "blocked"? Aren't Sub Zeros the very most excellent? Well, invite me a rube , but to me it was essentially a shinier, shallower, taller, louder translation of my low-deprivation Sears fridge in the basement. Not to bring up with the intention of a new Sub Zip costs ended $8000, for Pete's sake! What to do? Infiltrate the KitchenAid neutralize deepness French lobby fridge. Fantastic. For about $6000 less I have a fridge with the intention of takes up less space but has extra opportunity surrounded by.(It's key!) The neutralize deepness fits of laughter perfectly in the space where the Sub Zip loomed. The KitchenAid is sweet and quiet and well organized on the surrounded by. Now I have a new, quiet, (did I bring up quiet?) fridge with extra opportunity surrounded by. It has an interior filtered water dispenser, an exceptional deli drawer,(wide and shallow so you can see all) see -thru veggie bins, and even a neat little scoop in the ice bin. The doors commence and accurate independently of one a further. I also be fond of having two less important doors as a replacement for of one heavy lobby. The water filter is within straightforward reach in the top of the fridge. The freezer is also well organized. The ice bin can be rolled out of the way to make use of the space beneath. The freezer also has bins which force , for develop, keep melted Popsicle goo from leaking all ended the freezer and the floor and the ceiling beneath. Only in case. AND my cabinet maker is going to put a new shelf in the space with the intention of opened up ended the KitchenAid. (The Sub Zip was 12" inches taller). I finally have a house to pile those enormous trays my mother gave me for Christmas. Extra fridge taking up less space for less cash- what's not to be fond of?

I cannot stress it sufficient. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS REFRIGERATOR!!! I have had it for less than one year and have had at nominal amount 10+ benefit calls on it from coolness building up surrounded by of the refrigerator, fill up dripping from the icemaker, coolness/snow building up surrounded by of the freezer door, ice sticking to the fan and causing unnecessary blast in excess of the already OVERLY LOUD unit (which I was told is habitual). The icemaker door also opens and closes 10 synopsis after each use to allow any ice trapped in the entrance to be unhindered. The ice cascade out, hits the ice tray and lands on the baffle. My hardwood floors are life damaged nevermind the the makings for injury must a name slip on an icecube or standing fill up. Vortex claims this is a top come forth and here is not anything they can do in this area it. If you don't reconcile me, call their engineers and ask them for physically. It's too bad you won't find that on one of their sales stickers or in the blue-collar. Vortex will not exchange my unit despite all of the issues. All they do is constantly send out technicians who cannot fix the issues. By no means have I veteran such POOR consumer benefit from a companionship that does NOT back the harvest they sell. I have posted negative pointer on their Facebook wall and now have been blocked for attempting to inform the public of the certainty in the rear the manufactured goods they sold me.

We purchased this deactivate-deepness fridge since it has a nice use of interval surrounded by, and can fit two-gallon milk container both in the door and on the top ridge. Our kids go through four half gallons of soy milk a week, and we're able to fit that in well. The fridge part has worked fine for us, but here are two tribulations.Minor conundrum: in less than a year, the stainless steel rusted. This is minor since it turns out that stainless steel cleaning wipes will take it off. But we need to take out the dark stains each link weeks.Foremost conundrum, the freezer won't close by the book. Maybe the freezer racks got a modest bent? It's hard to say what it is or how to fix it. This leads to equipment melting which leads to ice build up on the bottom of the freezer. Which leads to it not dying at all. Then we thaw out it and get rid of the ice build up and it facility over again for a link days. And then we go back to check one. We're cleaning it out twice a week. And I'm quite sure we're inane to end up being paid sick from some to a degree defrosted and refrozen food. I try to toss anything out that melts, but it's permanently a judgement call. We no longer even try to keep freeze pops or ice cream. And it's an ongoing yield of domestic tension. ("Who didn't close the freezer by the book?" Pledge: "I have no idea, place us lonely, the @##$ business doesn't close by the book no theme what you do.")Bottom line: not not compulsory.

Needed a counter-depth and liked the looks of this element. On installation the decals peeled off with the protective strip. 3 months with hold the icemaker failed, 14 months with hold compressor failed, ( replaced below warranty, deprivation KA $700 and us 3 weeks without a fridge) 16 months with hold defrosting logic backed up and spilled water all over the stump and wrecked adjacent cabinets (not covered by warranty). Right through this KA ignored written complaints about this manufactured goods, although community distributor (ABT, Chicago)did help by leaning on KA...Thanks ABT! Information to ABT: Drop KA, the feature is a now a myth and the company is slow to respond to the hurricaine of complaints. KA's response to complaints is to tell customers to buy total warranties. I have been a lifetime KA fan but this encounter has twisted me off to KA from here on out. KA must just retract these units if they want they want to take steps to recover their reputation. Others here have suffered below the KA feature myth...can we get together to start building a case for a class action suit against KA for this terrible element?Oct 2013 Update: I do want to acknowlege the help and assistance of the KA help line who I called with writing KA with no response. I found the buzz staff to be polite and qualified, and with considerable discussion the buzz team recognizable the feature issues that loads of are struggling with the Inventor-II series and repaired the latest round of failures at no deprivation. This is the path for KA to recover their reputation...working with customers to get owing to this current feature mess KA is in. I do hope this will be the last incident for a long even as.

We purchased this fridge last summer after carrying out a kitchen alter. We have the unit in white (which is magnetic) since we did our kitchen in B&W. We thorough a black model but chickened out. I must say that one door sort was bent when we expected it (though it still opened and closed) but they sent us a new one ASAP which was easy to exchange. What do I like about the fridge: Large interior, holds 2 gallons of milk on the DOOR, basically holds a pizza box, even though counteract depth. Reins are easy to read, and intuitive...set temp by real temp. Counterdepth is great...not anything gets lost in the back of the fridge and it fits in the room great. Underneath freezer is much best than I probable, everything used to everlastingly fall out of my old top freezer. French doors open and close basically (maybe this is evident, but I was undefined how it would work). Water point in fridge is fast and cold. Shelves come out very basically for cleaning. Ice cube maker is fast, quiet, and there no melting and refreezing of icecubes like in my older fridge. What I like less: It is tall, which is good for me, but less so for the kids. Deli drawer is to some extent hard to get back in once you take it out. To some extent hard to weigh to get the doors even, but once you do this you are done perpetually. Water point drips for a following after you stop.Over all, this fridge was a great hold. We'll see how it lasts.

Ditto at this calculate, fill up on the baffle each day including 1.5 being. What is the conundrum at this calculate and how do we fix it?! Estimate I call for to do approximately extra conception, but I will not buy kitchenaid ended again. Too bad, in check over of the fact including the intention of the fridge was splendid even as it lasted. It replaced a 30 time old fridge including the intention of had not a release come forth additional than it wasn't stainless :( Bad step on our part, but we were tiresome to advertise the household as we purchased it.
- A. Lowell "lowella"

This is a actually kind looking refrigerator including splendid features. However, surrounded by two being of purchase, the compressor, the thermister and the potential enter be inflicted including all had to be replaced. Kitchenaid warrantys this rather expensive manufactured goods for one year only. As I contacted consumer benefit for assistance including what is obviously a lemon, I was told "that's why we sell total warrantys." The local appliance dealer has been splendid in trying to help, but flush they can't get Kitchenaid to budge. Do yourself a act of kindness - do not buy Kitchenaid!

The short answer is that I am extremely happy with this fridge. If you are shopping for a large, counter-depth, french entrance fridge lacking an external dispenser, then you have already lessened your search to single a few choices. And as long as the superfluous height of this fridge is not a problem for you, this is the preeminent choice. The standard height translation of this is an older design and does not have many of these features, so if you need standard height I would recommend the Frigidaire. The most obvious difference and greatest asset is its superfluous height, charitable it about one superfluous cubic bottom of space over most competitors. It is advertised as 72", flush if that is the height to the top of the hinges, the top of the fridge case is programmed at 70.8" which should get on to it able to just barely squeak under standard cabinets. Mine showed up and it was 71.1" tall, requiring the installer to cut the bottom of my cabinet trim slightly. He did a good job and it looks great, but it cost me an superfluous $65. The other unique feature of this fridge is the cold water dispenser on the inside. I love this feature and it is nice to have the benefit of a dispenser while keeping the ice maker in the freezer where it belongs. That ice maker is the preeminent design I have seen. It has a magnetic lever that allows the ice tray to attach to the freezer entrance, so it automatically opens when you open the freezer. Since it is a magnet you can then just accurate the ice tray by its nature. Or, if you don't want it to open automatically, just flip the lever and it will stay closed. Every fridge should have this. The inside controls are easy to use, and the fridge is organized well. The deli drawer automatically opens its lid when you pull on the drawer, and also works perfectly for beer storage. It can hold 50+ cans of beer. The bins at the bottom of the doors can hold two gallons of milk each, and that is important because the doors are really the single house to store tall bits and pieces. A retractable shelf would have helped momentously. The freezer actually has three levels of shelving. The middle shelf is short and wide, perfect for pizza boxes that will not fit in many other bottom freezer designs. However the bottom bin is tall but relatively shallow. Fitting something large, like a failure, will require removing the pizza shelf (it simply lifts made known). The crispers, top freezer shelf, and all of the entrance bins, have dishwasher safe silicone liners that can be pulled made known for cleaning. I wish the bottom freezer bin had one too. Others have complained about the aptly entrance popping open when the left entrance is closed. The floor develop I looked at had this problem, but once mine was by the book leveled and some weight was placed in the entrance it was no longer an issue. This fridge is quiet, flush if not the most quiet in its class.I don't think the appearance of this fridge reasonably lives up to its price. The squared off doors give it a somewhat industrial look and flush if that isn't necessarily bad, the decrease stamped metal hinges and brackets, complete with mounting screws, are fully visible. The upper ones are roofed by a big piece of gray plastic. I detest the grey painted sides (unfortunately this is the trend for most brands). The handles are bright brushed stainless that match my other GE appliances perfectly, but the doors are a darker/grayer color. Luckily it hides fingerprints better than most brands. If the sides of your installation will be roofed then so will most of the unsightliness I just programmed. As a feature annotation, never order whatever thing starting Sears Outlet Online. You will regret it.
- the dude

To agree with the others, my freezer would initiation leaking and build up ice at the bottom of the freezer until the fill up started leaking made known the bottom of the fridge. I have thawed it made known a number of era and it keeps happening. Kitchenaid consumer benefit said with the intention of I could possibly buy a extended warranty for $329! The fridge is not even 3 years old. Terrible product with terrible benefit. No more Kitchenaid for me!!

Kitchenaid KSC24C8EYP 35 1/2-Inch, 24 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator Recent Reviews

Initially of all, this is a decent Fridge. What I do like is the ice and water point... visually, it is very sweet to look at. It is harder for my 12 year old to use and she thinks you have to push the rubber inserts by hand. For a child, it is hard to push the glass in to dispense. Harder for an adult as well. So like an Italian Super Model, sweet to look at... Hard to live with. The overflow tray at the underside of the ice and water point is low-cost and poor. I had in effect the same model, a 6 year old Kitchenaid side by side counteract depth. But after replacing the ice maker for the third time, being offered NO help from kitchenaid, and having numerous computer boards replaced, I finally gave up and prearranged a new one. Why the [same] model you may ask? If I was so dissapointed with my last one? Well, I built my own cabinets to accomodate my old one and this is a very unique size. I also love the advent of the unit. It has a very clean, high-end look both inside and out. That said, what I feel they have gone backwards on are a number of things. The size. My last one was 24.9 Cubic ft, the largest 36 inch counteract depth available at the time is now only 23.9. So I lose a ft. Thats a big deal if you knew my wife. Secondly is the loss of a freezer drawer. The old one had 3, this one has two. And the shelves are very far apart. Splendid for splendid big tall boxes, but I cant think of a splendid big tall box to put in the freezer so this foliage lots of wasted space. The Ice maker is tiny, the drawer is tiny, yet the ice maker takes up twice as much space as the old one. Thats eerie. Finally, on the refridgerator door, there are two less container shelves. The old one had a unit at the underside for 12oz. sodas or what ever, poof, not there, and over again, just wasted space. Also one less side door bin as well. Having now only 4, is splendid if I store 64oz tall Evian bottles in all 4 shelves, but I dont, I store, hmmm, Ketchup, mustard, relish, salad dressing... You get the point, each item is about 4-10 inches high. I would like one 16" spaced side bin, but give me one more and a soda can holder. Over again, massively wasted space on an already small enough fridge. What's that about? Also, it seems the smaller a fridge gets, the more expensive it gets. And these are not low-cost. I paid 2500.00 fo the unit and am regretting just not getting bent over for another $350.00+ to get my old one repaired over again...and over again... and over again... My God, When I grew up, you couldn't kill a refridgerator, now you are lucky to get 7-8 years out of one.Okay, enough about the negative. Well, heck, not just yet... My old one had these really cool lights on the water point. Whe you dimmed the room, the lights would dim as to not stick out like a sore thumb. When you lit up the room or in the daytime, they would go full bright. Unless you own a vintage 2003-2007 Kitchenaid, you may not know of which I speak, but it was cool. This new one has this big fancy computer-geek panel on it. Looks cool enough, but only gives me on, off and dim for settings of the water point back-lighting. May sound fine, but its a step backward. I liked it when it was on a fully automatic sensor.Okay, I do like the way the door opens, that is an improvement, I like the shelving that it is now surrounded/trimmed in stainless. My old fake surrounds were beginning to stress crack. Some public talk about how they like the new l.e.d. lighting inside. I like the positioning and the extra light points, but hate l.e.d.'s with a passion. They look fake. Its why I tried and then threw away my outdoor l.e.d. Christmas lights. Looked like they were for a uncommon holiday, not chrismtas. Too fake looking. Un-natural. Also, there was a eerie buzzing coming out of the underside of the unit days gone by, It went away today, but I must say... I am nervous about this purchase. Feel like I threw my cash away and it is just too hard to come by right now. Threw it away as I had a decent almost working unit. If you dont have a Fridge at all or if yours is completely gone, I would think these things owing to when you decide. Sorry for the super long review. But over again it is more of change for the sake of change, and not well thought out as to what might have been better or more useful. I swear these public that point refridgerators these days must be 23 yer old point students that have by no means really used or cared about a refrigerator in their life.

Only had this for 2 weeks but am result I actually like it. This is my second Kitchenaid refrigerator and although they're not as quiet as some on the market, the first one is soothe vacant passionate after 20 being. This replaced a Samsung side x side that I actually liked. It was extremely nearly silent and the dual evaporators were actually what sold me on the Samsung. Now Kitchenaid has the constant equipment. The icemaker on the lobby was a surprise although it only makes something like 6 cubes at a time, the bin is by no means void and I use it daily. There is a MAX ICE background and only time will caution if I will need to use it for the Summer months, but if it continues the way it is now, I won't need to. The lighting in this refrigerator is actually splendid. It starts out dim and then gets bright. There are in this area 6 led lights on the refrigerator side and nothing is in a shadow. The freezer side is extremely water supply lit and it has plenty of opportunity. I at sea 3+ cu. Ft. buying this refrigerator, but I be inflicted including yet to find that I miss the interval. The Samsung had the icemaker at the top of the freezer compartment that actually took a lot of interval. I had purchased 3 containers for the Samsung that I reserved my meat in. I was so bowled over as these actually fit inside including moving the lower drawers and re arranging the shelves. I had to take out the lobby bins, they were extremely shallow to begin including, and so the 14" depth containers fit just beautifully. I love all of the clear drawers both sides. Nothing hides from you. I would recommend this model to anyone. It is KITCHENAID KSC24C8EYP. A kind counter depth cabinet. The reins are pretty straight forward and as a replacement for of guessing how cold the refrigerator and freezer are set at, you be inflicted including your choice by background degrees rather than just numbers. The point in the adjoin is kind too. You can be inflicted including it light reluctantly as using the ice or water point or you can set it to stay on bright or dim. The dual dispensers be inflicted including always been a should for me. I would not flush consider a model that I had to switch from ice to water including a pin. Senseless in my opinion. By all earnings, try out this one out if looking for a new side by side. You'll like the features.

We purchased this product as part of a kitchen renovation. As luck would have it, the refrigerator was delivered before it may possibly be installed. The service provider set up the fridge but said that he needed 3 washers to get the doors to align. Hearing this, we contatcted Kitchenaid immediately and they sent a certified person out immediately under the warrantee to aligne the doors. This is where it starts going down hill. The warranteed service man came out, looked at the contractors installation and said, thats a creative key, I would leave it alone. He poised us all is fine and the contractors installation would not cause issues with the operation of the refrigerator. Within a month the doors were rubbing together and very mis-aligned. We called Kitchenaid once again and they said, that simple alignmnets were further than the warrantee. We explained that they already send a warranteed servie person out alreay and this is regarding the very same issue. After some back and forth they said OK, they would send someone out under warrantee the next day. At the end of the next day when nobody showed up, we called Kitchenaid again, only to hear that it would not be covered under the warrantee but they would be happy to send a certified service rep to the house (same "creative solition, leave it alone) guy, but it would be at our expense. We told them to forget it we can find our own certified rep. I feel that we did all that we may possibly do in notifying kitchenaid immediately, and since their service rep reviewed our concerns under warrantee and the original concern was the issue, it should still be under warantee. I don't want to go through the hassle again and will vote with my pocketbook. I will not buy Kitchenaid again and will share my opinion with anyone who is even half interested. The refrigerator itself is OK. The ice despenser works well but there us a odd taste to the water. I do not get the same odd taste from the tap. I have replaced the filter numerous era and the odd taste persists. I have just decided to get my water from the tap. The shelves of the refridgerator very flimsy but I think all is these days. Was a bit disappointed that the side panels are not SS at this price (nor viewable on the in store display we looked at),but that doesn't affect the operation.

KitchenAid KBFS20EVMS Architect II 19.7 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator - Energy Star Reviews

I actually love this frig. I planning I'd detest the deli tray - extremely nearly all the frigs look to be inflicted including them - but it works out actually water supply to hold containters of things (goat cheese, yogurt, etc) which I can see and pull out at a glance vs getting at sea in the back on a rack. The counter depth is splendid, but what distinguishes the Kitchenaid for me is the interior water point. I don't like in-the-lobby water/ice dispensers since I reflect they're repellent, and they take up so much opportunity inside. Mostly I want water - ice I can get from not more than straightforwardly - and this saves so much opportunity not needing to use my big brita. Am sold on counter depth now since I can see everything so much more straightforwardly - the frig is wider and not as profound and that's perfect. The only mind I'm not charitable it 5 (or 10) stars is since the stainless is high maintenance. Nothing seemed to clean it water supply so I researched it to fatality (and went owing to a digit of stainless steel cleaners) and followed the recommendation of a lot of people to use Weisman spray cleaner including a microcloth. That works actually actually water supply - but I wish the metals Kitchenaid uses would require a reduced amount of maintenance. I'm attentive now and in the habit of keeping my hands off the doors as much as possible - using just the handles - but if I had a bunch of kids in the house it'd guide me batty.I'd buy this frig again in a heartbeat. Love it!

My strain extra fridge rusted on all three doors surrounded by 3 months!i called Kitchen boost They told me its ornamental and wouldn't distinction my warranty on a a cut-rate amount of than 3 month old fridge that not anything I did owing to it corrode. Idiotic!
- natalie

The condenser coils are located below the refrigerator. They radiate excitement generated by the compressor as it chills the refrigerant than is circulated to cool the provisions.Unfortunately, the condenser coils are hidden behind a flat metal grate with only three small access slots. This means it is impossible to clean dust and pet mane off of the coils. The short term implication is that the coils become insulated by the dust and mane, do not radiate excitement as well, and require the refrigerator to run longer for the same amount of cooling. This runs up my thrilling bill. The long term implication is that ultimately the coils fail to radiate sufficient excitement and, on an before (another brand) refrigerator, the compressor in tears and failed. This required replacing a 6 year old refrigerator.I am furious at KitchenAid for selling such a point.
- L. Aurich

KitchenAid refrigerators are usually 50% more expensive than, say Kenmore. You would expect privileged quality. But unfortunately I got the exact contrary. Mine kaput down in a reduced amount of than 3 years. Two renovate attempts cost over $500. Got a new compressor. My mom has a very old Hitachi ref, 10 years old subdue runs be fond of new. I would by no means buy any KitchenAid products from now on.

Initially, this fridge is beautiful, and the easily reachable storage in in cooperation the freezer and refrigerator compartments is fantastic, BUT the components are poorly calculated and despondent-expense. Expect to get to admit your repairman, in check over of the fact including the intention of he is going to be visiting often. The initially conundrum I had including my unit is the limitation device including the intention of reins the quantity of cooled air entering the fridge compartment. Including being compensated extremely loud within 6 months of hold, the limitation disastrous and froze most of the first provisions. The limitation was replaced and worked fair pro the then 2 years, save pro currently it is being compensated loud so it is doubtless about to not make the grade ended again. The last straw pro me happened days gone by as the surrounded by water dispenser got blocked in the "on" position including I to the top a glass of water. I tried to influence the fridge out so I could possibly get behind it to turn off the water line, save pro it's a forceful squeeze to get back there - I'm not fat either, so I finished up popping the rubber take in off including the intention of covers the solenoid, and twisted it off manually. The inner components of the water dispenser are despondent-expense, despondent-expense plastic of the feature including the intention of a bubble gum machine prize is made of. Tempted to send the total business to a landfill except including the intention of I suspect the competitors are just as crappy.
- Michael Lovell

I rarely guess products to be exceptional anymore. My new criteria for distinction is when something is "OK". That is what this fridge is ...OK. Have had it for two being and is working fine. ergonomically even if it is kinda dumb. THe fill up filter and reins are above the top ridge, and unfortunately cut into it quite a bit. If I place a gallon of milk on the top ridge it doesn't fit easily. If you move the ridge down then the decrease shelves are too confined. I have manipulated the reins once in view of the fact that I purchased this, one you set the temp, why play with it? For this reason, I would have placed the control panel in the back..out of the way, and the filter as well. In an effort to be more well-located they have made it less so, but today that is par. It's OK.Oh yeah...the bottom question rattles

I bought my frige in Aug of 2010. Today, May 6, 2013, the compressor died and the repair man quoted me $1200 to diplomacy and bed in a new one! Compressors must not crap out after less than 3 years. Too many of these units DIDN'T make their third birthdays!!

We bought this fridge all owing to a alter machinate in check over of the fact including the intention of we looked-for a deactivate deepness element and sought after a bottom freezer. It looks splendid and has water supply-located storage space. Functionally, it has been vex. Including two months, provisions started freezing, and we had to toss out bags of yield. Two renovate companies before long we were told the thermistor was bad. Including the renovate the do fleeting bring about was too lukewarm flush including adjusting the potential. Repaired ended again , but now provisions is freezing and it wants a new potential element. Flush including calls and emails to Kitchenaid, we got no refund for provisions failure- not section of the warranty. Including the intention of tells me they do not stand absolutely in the rear their manufactured goods . The peddler including the intention of we purchased from has been splendid including renovate benefit. I do NOT urge Kitchenaid.

This unit looks great and seems to run fine after about two years. Though it is near impossible to clean the coils since they are not accessible from the front. The unit smells when it runs since the drip pan needs cleaned, but guess what, it is not calculated to be cleaned and is veiled deep surrounded by the unit. I called KA and they told me that there is no wits to clean the pan since any dampness in it will evaporate. I told them that it needs to be cleaned when you live in a humid climate just like any other refrigerator. They told me I'd have to supporter a renovate benefit to do this. The nameplate on the front is installed scheming. Everlastingly, the SS close is great but near impossible to keep looking nice (not KA's fault). The underneath line is that it is poorly calculated and engineered. I would not hold it again if I had a do-over, I just hope it lasts like the last one (going on 28 years but I'm not land my breath).

I purchased one for myself and one for family based on looks and the high-priced strain.BOTH refrigerators broke not effective just with the one time warranty! KitchenAid's defect expense us $$$$ in made known-of-pocket repairs. My fridge leaked fill up and ruined the cabinets because the cooler wasn't effective properly. My family's KitchenAid compressor completely push to not effective. They were purchased 10 months dead from each other from two different foremost retailers. KitchenAid's warranty repair benefit sucks--overstress not included even with their manufacturing defect. Waited several days for an appointment and at that time it's an "all time appointment", importance you have to wait at home all time.
