Danby Designer DAR044A1BDD Compact All Refrigerator, 4.4 Cubic Feet Best Reviews

Could have bought this at Home Depot, but approved over Amazon as a replacement for for the free shipping right to the door. Was looking for a bar fridge lacking a freezer and shelves are approved very well for my needs.
- Hammy

Splendid aid for entertaining and having generous family ranking all owing to Prayer. It's calm down and keeps love coolness. We don't call for frozen part, and extremely to be inflicted including full frig vicinity old for refrigeration. This was exceptional extent.
- Natalie

Calm down, efficient, well calculated interior. Didn't need or want a freezer section and this fits my desires just so. Very satisfied.
- GEM

I replaced my additional fridge I've had for over 25 being including the modest freezer compartment that always accumulated tons of ice and looked-for to be emptied out and defrosted further than everywhere it may possibly melt. I was wanting to get more interval for my beverages and eliminate the useless freezer but as worried it wouldn't be cold ample. This baby has a wide range of settings and can actually freeze your drinks or just get them ice cold. Soothe if you want moderately cooled drinks it will do that too. In the end, I am lucky including it. :)
- Amazon Customer

I be inflicted with an personnel with a tiny vicinity pro a refrigerator. This refrigerator is much better than my last element since there is no freezer/cooling coil, which is just a waste of interval. Currently I be inflicted with at least 20% extra room surrounded by the constant outer dimensions, not to mention the door, which is designed to hold extra beverage cans, and with the intention of. The element is striking in black and calm down. My personnel and I are extremely satisfied. All plusses; no negatives!
- PAUL M. KADE

I decided on this refrigerator when I recently moved into a new house. I was looking for something to fit below my bar in my garage. I did not aspire a freezer to dissipate precious beer space, and this is one of the few lacking one. I like the adjustable shelves to accommodate bottles or cans however desired. But the metal wire is a little annoying; if you don't house the bottles on them just aptly, they lean or tip ended. It beyond disbelief keeps things frost, in detail be precise how frost you set it. Being not too sharp, I filled it including beer, set it as frost as it may possibly go, and waited for the weekend. I had acquaintances ended for a housewarming and exposed I had a fridge full of frozen beer. Oops! So far so good on the gathering, to a great degree see how it does in a garage in AZ in the summer.
- MayersGirl

By shopping with Amazon, we save $80 including shipping fee (almost 40% discount). The fridge (lacking freezer) will be frost free, which means a lots to us. We turned it 3/4 high and my drinks were frozen the next daylight, semi way high will be our setting.
- samsam

Bought to convert to kegerator. Runs peacefully, keeps kegs at about 42 degrees F with thermostat at the mid-array setting. With very insignificant modifications, refrigerator holds (2) 5-gallon cornelius kegs & 5LB. CO2 tank inside. No coolant affect in the top panel of the fridge between the light game and back panel made installing a keg tower tap easy.
- Andrew Simmons

We formerly purchased a compact fridge to care for downstairs. Flash, not full knowledge of how different these bring about, was #1 Priority as I became wheelchair bound and washed-out most of my calculate on the lower amount of our home. The ill-treat declaration (freezer by no means old) resulted in a freon leak in check over of the fact including the intention of the freezer had by no means been defrosted.Including being compensated the 3-yr-ancient mixture (not an Amazon manufactured goods) further than, I went on a stalk pro report on what would seem as an straightforward chore. I followed the advice of NO freezer and aid of metal shelves (keeps all evenly coolness). Including those parameters in mentality, I inserted my Amazon quest criteria and right away expected the perfect result: Danby Designer DAR044A1BDD Compact All Refrigerator, 4.4 Cubic Feet. It single took a semi a calculate to admit its significant storage room lacking the agonize of ice erect-up and the emancipated flow of coolness air quick owing to the laminated steel open shelves.Practically priced and Prime 2-calculate emancipated stylishness of language. If you are a mother looking pro the best compact fridge pro a dorm room, this most definitely what you aspire. Worth every penny of the approx. online price of 200 bucks.
- Sidney J. Gibson

Was very pleased with by and large look and construction. Charming door notch and dying. Bounty of room lacking a freezer area.
- Rick "RS"

Silhouette Select Built-In Under Counter Ice Maker User Reviews

What a complete waste of money! I have had the renovate man out 3 times in the first 2 years. Now it is a boat attach that the warranty run out on. I cant say enough bad about this apparatus. Complete junk!
- ANDYh

affect with others. just plugged it in last night. The education manual is 2nd grade. misspelled terms and the icon to select "size of cube" in fact says, "Amount of Ice" and depiction show a half void pail...called customer benefit and they set me honest on what the choice were for (size of cubes). nit hard to delight I know, but poor manuals tells you a in tears in this area the manufactured goods. I also constantly hear the business in succession (loud), the cubes are "wet", and you have to smash the sheets of ice. I called customer benefit and he said just use the news story to smash the ice. actually, I paid almost $1,000 for this and a low-cost refrigerator can make break ice cubes and this business can't?from the bottom of your heart, don't dissipate your cash, go everyplace else.
- DownNDirty

I purchased this hoarfrost maker and as it at home we plugged it in and it was exhausted Danby told me to encourage a benefit tech, he understood element was unrepairable. Danby sent me a extra element Element #2 at home and we plugged it in and it owing to noises and at that calculate died. Called Danby again benefit tech understood its exhausted leak in compressor . Called cool they sent element #3, no kidding. Element 3 gets delivered and doesn't even initiation up. Poor benefit tech comes made known again and says element is exhausted broken compressor. He at that calculate tells me these units are a dissipate of time items and poorly owing to. I encourage Danby and they yield me a full refund. Currently I be inflicted including 3 hoarfrost makers in my garage including the intention of I be inflicted including to get on to divest of. I at that calculate purchased a Kitchen Boost hoarfrost maker and it facility great...plenty of hoarfrost. You get on to what you bombard out pro. STAY AWAY early this hoarfrost maker.
- David Sanford

Everywhere to begin. 1) It is incredibly loud - a name in the at that calculate opportunity planning it was a lawn mower from further than in check over of the fact that the window was commence. 2) It leaks the planet ended if the potential goes out and at that calculate comes in trade on. For develop, the potential went out one day so we dumped the ice bin to get on to sure not anything leaked. The potential went in trade on and fill up ongoing leaking the planet ended - this happened double so far, in cooperation era our potential went out all owing to this storm calculate of year. At this top I do not believe comfortable having the element on if nameless is home. 3) The element does not keep the ice coolness sufficient so it melts extremely promptly and is running constantly to breed extra ice (conundrum in check over of the fact that it is so loud - you do not aspire to be in the constant opportunity as this business as it is generating - louder than our jabber disposal). The ice lays here in big sheets that you have to break up with the scooper. Not the end of the planet but solely an eye rolling cut of icing on the cake. The pros are that it is arresting looking in my kitchen and I infer it does get on to ice, so that is a plus?
- Jeannie

I purchased this ice maker idea it would work fine in our bar. The price was so much cheaper than others that we were looking at and I actually didnt want to spend a lot on this apparatus. But now Im kicking for myself. This may be a $1000 waste except I can unload it on Craigslist. In my case, I just dont think I can live with it. If you are putting this in a garage or cut off closet it will doubtless gathering okay. It makes ice fine. Here are my issues with it:1. Even if the cube size is just right for me, one in three sheets do not break apart. Consequently, every time you reach in for ice you will be vital to stab the sheets with the scooper to break them up. Not a huge deal, but actually grating after a while. The solid sheets are everlastingly on top since they dont fall as far. Again, "every" time you reach in.2. It runs constantly. Since it is not as like a log insulated, the ice melts away faster importance more run time, more water. It runs constantly right through the day.3. My chief gripe and the wits we cant live with this, is it is LOUD! it is louder than our dishwasher by far. We have this unit in our bar, built in under the deactivate. But Im divulging you it is very loud! Since the ice melts promptly you constantly hear the water spraying surrounded by to fill the tank. Then the water trickles over the metal plate and drips back into the tank as its building cubes. loud loud loud. like an open-air water fountain. Again, infer your dishwasher in succession with the kitchen sink spraying constantly, then you'll get the idea. Now and again its best to pay up a bit and in this case I think it would have been a MUCH wiser declaration for us. If you plan on putting this unit surrounded by your house, I fervently urge you look everyplace else.
- AKD

I purchased 2 of the ice machines for my lake household. They were installed the end of May. One apparatus worked for approximately one month and then began periodic and miscalculation code.We spent the next 2 months coming up for parts. Surrounded by 2 weeks of the repair it bunged effective over again. The other apparatus was installed in our upstairs kitchen. Danby does not release the fact that if there is a power rush the pump will shut off. The unit must then be pulled out of the cabinet and manually reset the pump or it will not gathering. Our band new baffle has been absolutely damaged. Danby told us to turn it in to our indemnity company.
- asmith1211

All the before reviews are tinge on. This manufactured goods is inefficient. The ice melts at a rapid rate, so the machine is almost always running and using water. Compounding the detail that it always runs, as it does run, it is extremely LOUD! It is very annoying in a big commence kitchen/dining vicinity/living opportunity. We thought we may have a faulty piece, but the tech understood this was the way it was designed and it was working properly. Stay gone from this manufactured goods as it is a complete piece of a waste of time items and waste of money!!!
- WhoDat Man

All I can say is - Exceptionally satisfied with the ice it makes. This unit would be exact for a garage but not for a kitchen area. It makes a loud nose that is too awful for terms when it is big. The blast wakes us up at night. We can hear it in our bedroom, bathroom, basement, upstairs, garage - the planet over! Beyond doubt have the drain line hooked up so that it drains. Manual says it is optional. No, not actually. The cubes will be wet. It is not a freezer, and it is not calculated to make ice and then keep the ice frozen--the ice will melt, and then the unit will make more ice. I wish our 'salesman' had explained more to me in this area it and I am usually a well-knowledgeable consumer, but I was NOT on this one. It was a 'hassled' hold due to my partner's knee surgery and we needed ice in bulk. I would not hold this strain/develop over again.
- Lisa G. Peithmann

This is a very low feature ice maker. It is a exact waste of money, time and try. The ice is very wet since it never seems to get cold ample. It doesn't break apart into real cubes, it just drops sheets of ice and you have to break it apart physically. It is exceptionally LOUD. Once it is full of wet half melted ice, the love just shuts off and all of it melts. Then you are left with a big tub of water that you have to lift out and dump. I returned the first one I had idea it was a lemon, but the following one did the same thing. I am now upgrading to a uncommon brand. There is a wits that this is half the price of most ice makers, delight don't waste your time.

Danby DFF261BSLDB: 9.20 cu. ft. Bottom Mount Refrigerator Best Reviews

I just got my new Danby refrigerator this daylight. I LOVE it! I fits in my small kitchen (10x10) and looks great. It runs so quietly that you can hardly hear it. The fridge is not programmed as counteract depth, but it certainly is. It makes my kitchen look so much more modern and updated. I emptied out my old fridge (it was 18 cubic feet)and everything fit. It's almost like it is made to hold things perfectly. I bought this because after much research, this refrigerator only costs approx. $43 a time to run. With the price of everything going up, I figured with the low running cost and the smaller size I would save in the long run. Having the freezer on the bottom is the best perception ever. Everything in your fridge is eye level. You can see and reach all of your food easily. Hopefully this stops me from "losing" something in the back of the fridge again, only to find it weeks later with a funny smell and green fur. No more wasted food = no more wasted money. The only downfall I can say is DON'T order it from this web site. I found it for $378 @ "The Great Indoors." Just so everyone knows, this is a Sears company (!!!) and the customer service is AWESOME. I even chose my exact delivery date and time. I contacted many companies about their delivery service and most all places only had "curbside" delivery. That means that they will bring it to your footpath/front door ONLY. The Sears delivery men were prompt, clean, and very polite. They unloaded it, unwrapped it, placed it in my kitchen, made all adjustments to make it level, cleaned up and took all the packing materials, asked if I had any questions about the fridge, and wanted to know if I was satisfied with everything. It was a wonderful experience.
- CharleneC

I approved this item and at manner of language the fridge had a big scratch on the door. I did not accept it. It was replaced with another fridge that had a defect as well. I cancelled my order with amazon. I got the fridge thru another company and I am very happy with the manufactured goods. I love my smaller fridge. It cools well, looks great. The freezer part works well so by and large I'm very happy with my hold but not with the manner of language experience. Also the manner of language company did not return my calls.
- Danielle F Rogers

Recently moved into our new apartment building and this fits of laughter perfectly water supply including the space I have. It's exceeded my expectations.
- BamaSlamma

We bought this refrigerator about 18 months ago because of its size and our living space size (650sqft +/-). It fits splendid, looks splendid but makes A LOT of noise. When I say a lot, I'm really not exaggerating! It's a constant humming noise, and without trying to be pun, now and again it sounds like there's an alien in my house. It's woken both my husband and I plenty of era during the night, and our upstairs national has also mentioned he can hear it... And now and again the only way to make the noise stop is to open the doors, which often is so unbearable, we just have to do it!We had the Sears repair guy come out and look at it, and of course it didn't make any noise when he was here - nevertheless, he said that it was probably habitual and he wouldn't be able to do no matter what thing about it (?!) So if you live in a small space, DON'T BUY THIS!
- Mrs Y

I be fond of the manufactured goods. It's extremely nice pro the function I am by it pro. My only complaint is that it came dented. I contacted the companionship and they be inflicted including existing me a incomplete refund to protect it as differ to sending it in trade pro a extra one. I am dissappointed including the dent keep pro infer I'm pleased including that.

fits nice in new interval, recently moved to rented town house and this was a great secondary frig freezer for the interval we had

Danby DFF261BSLDB Bottom Mount RefrigeratorWe bought one of these refrigerator/freezers for our basement bar area.Pros:- Quite striking. It's enameled interpretation black steel on the outside with stainless steel [look] doors; inside is white. Danby's web site says this about the door material: "Pristine steel finish - looks identical to real stainless steel but without the smudging"- Energy Star rated (uses 20% less electricity than most units); we expected a $100 rebate from our potential company in view of the fact that of that fact. Check with your utility company...- The two thermostatic reins are in the refrigerator section hostile to the back wall, out of the way. (See Consumer Descriptions.) Many of these small refrigerators stupidly mount the control hanging down from the inside top which gets in the way of storing anything on the top ridge.- Frost free. The unit this Danby replaced was not frost free and its freezer would accumulate ice on of its walls just from the moisture in the air. It was a royal pain to thaw out and sterile up the fill up.- Set to 3/4 of maximum cold, the freezer gets down to -20 degrees Fahrenheit. We couldn't test how cold it would get on maximum in view of the fact that none of our thermometers read decrease than 20 not more than. We leave it at about 5 not more than.- With plenty of cooling to emergency we keep the refrigerator section just over freezing. These units work by frankly cooling the freezer at the thermostat setting, and then circulating just enough freezer air through the refrigerator section to maintain its thermostatic setting.- Reasonably designed storage areas. Milk, orange juice, soda cans, etc., all seem to have their place. Gallon jugs even fit in the refrigerator door.- One of the very few small unit designs with the refrigerator section on top. That was important to us.- If you're standing right next to a unit that's on, you'll hear a very low frequency hum (emanates from the unit's rear & bottom) - but at about 8' away, that hum is nearly inaudible. So, unless you're accurate to it, this thing is very quiet.- We ordered ours via the Sears web site for $420 + tax and selected it up in our SUV (to dodge a delivery payment) from the local Sears store. Locally purchased refrigerators are MUCH easer to restore if they arrive defective or damaged. In view of the fact that our old GE unit was reliable, we checked out the latest GE models at local appliance dealers. Unfortunately, they wanted twice as much for the new comparably sized GE units. Perhaps these GE models were "better", but you can't tell that by looking at them and their warranty was the same.Cons:- The two plastic slide-in vegetable crispers in the refrigerator section are cheaply constructed and must have been larger to fully use their allotted interval.Other:- When opening the doors, the hinged side of the door pivots to the side " further than the width of the unit. This makes flush installations on a axis side impossible. So, although the unit is 23 5/8" wide, you'll need at least 24 1/4" width (24.5" is better) if either side is to be flush to a wall. We had exactly 24" available and it was really too forceful. This isn't a product defect, just something to be attentive of.- In a side-wall flush installation, the doors won't open far enough to fully take out refrigerator shelves or the freezer drawer, so set them the way you want before pushing the refrigerator into place. The refrigerator comes with a flat location schooner ridge over the vegetable crisper and 2 height-adjustable shelves, which is one too many if you plan on putting tall equipment on more than one ridge.- The doors come hinged on the right. For left hinging, you'll need to lay the unit on its back on the floor or have it sitting on an appliance hand car (where it will be at a 45 degree angle). The doors can't be re-hinged if it's upright, in view of the fact that the freezer door axis screws glue to the very bottom. You'll need an 8mm wrench (box, open, socket, or adjustable), Phillips and flat screwdrivers, and a drill with a 3/32" bit for pilot holes. In spite of the product handbook's drawings being way too small, any handy self must be able to do the job. If you buy the unit locally and have it delivered, that supplies delivery self might rehinge the doors for you at no or smallest cost, but verify this before introduction the order.- Once it's in place, the front two legs can be adjusted for height or level with groove joint pliers (search Amazon) or a similar tool, but the rear rollers do not change, which is ordinary for refrigerators. Therefore, it's important that the floor be reasonably level where the rollers will rest. If it isn't, deliberate using some type of shim arrangement that won't move when the unit is pushed into place.- If any refrigerator feet will rest on carpet, go the Home Depot or Lowes and buy a " thick x 2' x 2' plywood section for under the unit. (Both supplies stock this size in their hobble section.) E.g., as shown in Consumer Image 4, the front of our refrigerator was on a carpet; thus, the unit rocked to and fro, and made adjusting the front feet (having sunk into the carpet) all but impossible. Plywood stopped the rocking and made the front feet reachable for adjustment, but I had to construct a fleeting "ramp" onto the plywood for sliding the unit into place. If you're having a name install the refrigerator, have the plywood equipped.- The develop and serial number are on a sticker on the back, so enter these facts down before pushing it into place.Measurements:- 26 3/4" deep from the very back to the front of the doors.- 24" deep from the very back to the front frame (where the door gasket hits).- 59 1/4" high- 23 5/8" wide- Black plastic trim at the top/bottom of the doors consequences in the doors being 23 3/4" wide.- Opened anywhere near 90 degrees, the doors (on the axis side) extend out " further than the side of the unit.- With the compressor running, it draws 1.75 amps (202 watts).Summary:If you need a small refrigerator / freezer, this unit must be on your short list.
- Victor H. Agresti "remodeling-guy"

We bought this at a local appliance store for our first house, and thought it would be a perfect alternative to the massive models fit for large families (we are but two). We also wanted a bottom freezer develop, and our choices were extremely limited. All was great for the first little while—it fit a full week's worth of groceries for us lacking try, and the faux stainless look meant we didn't need to worry about fingerprints or special cleaners. My single gripe was a extremely tiny freezer with an awkward-to-pull-made known bottom drawer (press in and rescind up the back, then pull made known). I was also scratching my head at the CanStor dispenser. We are not soda drinkers, so that was a dissipate of space where wine bottles or taller cartons could go on the entrance. We're going on a time currently and the biggest complaint is that it's extremely loud. Gargles, buzzing, knocking, and more, and we can't do whatever thing to bring to a standstill it. The sad truth is, we don't want a gargantuan fridge, but our options are limited. That said, I would definitely steer anyone taking into account this fridge gone starting it and toward another, more reputable strain.
- Isaac Watson

Bought this develop including a lingering quest pro a narrow width fridge to all fit in our galley kitchen .The apt go tiny it was a exact all fit .Keep pro including a week or so :by no means actually got not effective to a genuine coolness do fleeting bring about in the fridge part, freezer worked fair thoughAfter only so a time the fridge part ongoing to be converted into radiator. At that calculate it only bunged cooling as all's understood and owing to.We called a repairman made known and he promptly diagnosed the come forth go including the intention of the Danby potential trail was a flawed top to commence including. The airway between the fridge and freezer was narrow and susceptible to icing up , blocking any cool air early accomplishment the fridge.Serviceman has seen it before to including this strain and I understood him including tearing it dead early all additional to discover the yield And including two hours of effective on it,He release exciting only the benefit encourage fee $80 !The remedy was consent to the element melt made known - Ha it was touted as a coolness emancipated fridge excessively !-Unplugged it pro a week at that calculate fired it in trade up took a lingering calculate to get on to cool ample to pile provisions ended again. at that calculate 3-4 income before long konked made known ended again.Even as made known of city pro a month gone it unplugged ended again . came family plugged it in worked pro 5 income at that calculate crapped outSo including the intention of's it pro the Danby Currently we will adjust a roadblock in diplomacy to all fit a REAL fridge in !!!!

I bought this fridge one year ago, The "sealed logic" had a leak and is unrepairable, as the coils are surrounded by the sides. After export a Vortex to exchange it, I have to warn all not to buy Danby harvest! Go to Consumer Supporter and sites like that to get the truth about Danby.I planning the stainless like fridge was cute, exact for my kaput spine with the underneath freezer and good on energy. It is junk made in China! I think we all guess a refrigerator to last longer than a year, but not Danby..Their consumer benefit administrator Laura just rubs salt in your wounds, if you ask for a key! They must not be allowable to manufacture appliances that are so poorly made. It doesn't use much energy, but I didn't even come close to reduction the $550. put in to the the worthless toy. Not to bring up all the stress of the noises, smells and loss of food!! So beware except you want to go owing to a big nightmare annually!

Danby DFF8803W 8.8 cu.ft. Mid-Size Refrigerator - White Buyer Review

Do not approve of this refrigerator. It is designed to get on to guaranteed that your food tops up on the stump.Everywhere do I commence? And I be inflicted including only owned this refrigerator one hour!Initially, pro the amount of interval this refrigerator takes up, the amount of storage space is pathetic. Except you be in this planet by physically, by no means be inflicted including guests over, and detest food.Following, the layout of the refrigerator is horribly designed. I'm in detail appalled at how poorly the shelves and drawers are positioned in the refrigerator. The egg drawer, pro develop, appears to be positioned in a road that facilitates all of the eggs diminishing made known of the refrigerator promptly in the lead notch it. It also has only two shelves of door storage space as it may maybe easily all fit four. It doesn't pocket a genius to reflect it over that. And the consequence is a ration of unused interval. And broken eggs.Third, it's incredibly, amazingly indigent feature. I had it ten minutes before to it ruined.I deposit my food in the fridge, clogged the door, and re-opened it (ind you, I'm a 5'4" female who is renowned pro being austere and not contravention equipment). As I opened the door, the two bottles of sauce and one jar of jam I had deposit in here (far away early overstuffed) chop to the stump as the cheaply owing to fake drawer gave road and ruined into two pieces. Luckily, no dinghy ruined, since I wasn't in shoes at the calculate.I by no means thought I would say this, keep pro this fridge makes me fail to attend my old 30-time-old extremely near broken fridge. The underneath outline: except you be inflicted including a hobby of compelling style of language of appliances and over and over again persistent them, or are by it pro a stunt, I urge not export this fastidious fridge. (I also urge that the broadcast who designed this refrigerator (if anyone bothered crafty it at all, that is) pocket a stab at top lecture if they are inane to pocket up again producing cash-building appliances.)Congratulations, Danby, this is beyond disbelief one of the most poorly designed harvest I be inflicted including always seen. If you be inflicted including any pride in your strain whatsoever, you force aspire to bring up to date this develop.

Danby DAR125SLDD 4.4 cu.ft. All Refrigerator - Spotless Steel Recent Reviews

We had this constant refrigerator for 5 being. It bunged working. So, this is our following hold of this refrigerator. We be inflicted with it in a covered area outside in the Phoenix area - so it has to withstand high excitement in the summer months. It is not rated for outside use, so I reflect with the intention of it lasted 5 being is extremely good. Compared to the fee on outdoor rated refrigerators with the intention of are not cast iron to last any longer, I reflect this is a good regard which is why we purchased it a following calculate.
- slsw

I bought this fridge to make my own mini-kegerator. There are plans on a few sites on the web for this model. After modding, I can fit two 5-gallon kegs, and a C02 tank tight in there. The fridge came as expected, and looks pretty kind. The temp control isn't anything fancy, but not sure what you'd expect on a a reduced amount of expensive mini-fridge.If you do shape to mod it, you must pocket trouble not to hit a coolant line! Also, I used the cheap overnight shipping option on this using my amazon prime. So worth it. I've read other people may be inflicted including had harms including shipping damage using ground shipping, but that was not the case for me.
- Sam

We did not want a compact refrigerator that had a freezer part in it, and this one fit the bill. We purchased it to hold all our first organic yield in view of the fact that it doesn't all fit in our big 'fridge in the kitchen. We find that the love stays just everywhere we need it and our yield is first and bracing... by no means frozen like it used to get in our additional tiny 'fridge.
- Gracie Writes

One problem with most mini-fridges is the freezer compartment, which always form a layer of frost. This fridge doesn't have that compartment, and has more room to store liquids. One business to note--the top part of the fridge does not get as cold as the bottom. To some public, its a big problem, but I actually like it. As it happens, I drink beers that are best at numerous different temperatures, so I keep beers that must be served colder, like lagers, on the bottom, and beers that must be served warmer, like Belgian Trappist ales on top. Perfect!

Prearranged this in check over of the fact with the intention of it was only all refridgerator with no a dissipate of time freezer screened-off area. Well it worked OK for 6 months then I lost all cooling of the fridge contents. Called Danby and they had a service rep exchange the compressor and a shot of freon. Yea! my beer and waters were cool ended again. Well 3 days before long ended again no cooling. Whats up with this fridge. Of way I was warned with the intention of this is not a refridgerator. HUH? Its a beveridge cooler. What is the variation. I am so really disappointed in this fridge I am equipped to toss it out the lobby. Sorry it was so high-priced for me to have the sensitivity to do with the intention of but this companionship leaves me no alternative. Run from this manufactured goods, peek for something extra dependable if you be fond of your drinks refreshing as a replacement for of tepid.

I had my Danby less than 24 hours before the problems started. I had the thermostat set at slightly more than half (probably 6/10) for the initially nocturnal it was in use. The next time, I exposed with the intention of all of my 6 (high-priced!) bottled beers on the bottom ridge (above crisper drawer) had frozen, and 3 of them had burst causing beer to go everywhere! Checked the surplus of the beverages in the fridge to reflect it over if they were also accurate to bursting, keep for found persons in the middle & top shelves not even beginning to freeze. With this failure, I set the thermostat to about a third of the way up (probably 3/10) so as not to have a repeat thing. With another 6 hours, the stuff on the bottom did not freeze, keep for was very cold (great!). However, the items on the top ridge were barely even cool to the touch (not great). I proceeded to do a little test with a refrigeration thermometer leaving the thermostat at about one-third. With 30 minutes, the bottom ridge look into 37 degrees. I moved it to the top ridge and waited another 30 minutes, and found it showing 54 degrees! A 17 degree difference between top and bottom!!! Not to bring up with the intention of 37 degrees is WAY too cold especially when the thermostat dial is set so despondent. So it seems with the intention of I am experiencing the same inconsistent cooling with the intention of at smallest amount 2 other reviewers are having. Amazon was great about setting up a replacement delivery & pickup. I am willing to try a replacement before calling this fridge a total failure. The replacement is set to arrive tomorrow, so I'll post an update in a only just any days. Wish me good luck!UPDATE: Received a replacement, and it had the same EXACT come forth!!! Started it off with the thermostat at the middle point (most manufacturers recommend this setting), and placed identical thermometers on the top and bottom shelves. With one hour, the top look into 55 degrees, and the bottom was at 30!!!! I am willing to accept a only just any degrees difference, maybe even as much as 6 or 7 tops, keep for 15 degrees is ridiculous. I would have to accept the top being at nearly 60 just to protect the lower half above freezing. Am sending this one back also (UPS is gonna hate me tomorrow), and am being paid the Haier 4.5cu ft one instead. Fingers crossed...

I got this unit pro my personnel. I've had the unit pro about a month. I got apprehensive including the love in check over of the fact including the intention of the bits and pieces on the underside were freezing and the item on top felt warm. I did a little investigate and found out including the intention of the genteel temp. of a refrigerator is held to be between 34-39 degrees Fahrenheit. Just higher than 32, freezing, and just below 40, as bacteria can boost. I modest adjusting the thermostat and couldn't get somewhere. So I positioned 3 thermometers in the unit, underside, median and top shelves. There is a 20 point different. The underside ridge is at 25 degrees, the median ridge is perfect at 37 degrees and the top ridge is at 45 degrees. I've made this pro almost 2 weeks trying to change the thermostat just right to have the full unit at somewhere between 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit. Not anything facility. Even as it is left overnight and i taste out it initially business in the morning. There is soothe about a 20 point temp. alteration between the top and underside shelves. It appears including the intention of there is temp. leakage owing to the doors or top of the unit awaited to be deficient in of ample filling. I cannot urge this unit in check over of the fact including the intention of it fails to hold a prudent love, 34-39, throughout the full interior. It's not prudent pro storing provisions including the intention of can spoil.

We purchased this refrigerator for our outside entertainment bar because of its size and energy efficiency rating. So far we are very satisfied. It is a quiet and maintains internal temperature keeping everything nice and cold. There are plenty of shelving options as they are all modifiable. The door has 10 can holder slots for beer or soda and also has modifiable shelves for bottles of soda or wine. There is a drawer on the bottom perfect for storing garnishes, cheeses or meats. There is plenty of room in the surplus of the fridge to fill as you please. The door really is spot resistent, we are not constantly cleaning it! This was a great purchase; we highly recommend this piece.

I bought this fridge short notice when a defrosting attempt rendered my last beer fridge deadly, and I felt a little pressured to hit the Go button on it as my tasty 12oz's of Heaven slowly warmed. But I must say I'm not disappointed at all! It's a great size, looks fantastic, isn't as heavy as I thought it would be, is extremely quiet, and keeps more than 60 bottles of Sam Adams ice cold and within arms reach including room to spare! My original fridge was a Kenmore job, including a pathetic waste-of-interval freezer section (which this does not have) that for some unknown reason Sears saw fit to make the freezer stump out of the cooling constituent. So of course it iced up like you read about, and I, like many a man before me, took the task of removing this ice seriously (it was encroaching on my beer interval as it grew!)...and pulled out my trusty, and ridiculously pointy, pocket knife. So after a bath of freon, or what always the hell they're using these days to cool, washed over me including a snake-like hiss, I proceeded to slam the door and muscle the fridge out to the driveway where it subdue sits. Luckily my beer supply was low (it pains me to admit this), so I only needed to commandeer a single ridge in the practically useless "food" fridge as the wife calls it. But knowing this arrangement wouldn't last, I needed a new fridge, and fast. So I bit the bullet after reading a few whiny reviews about ridiculously trivial issues (like not getting cool enough, or damaged in shipping; neither of which plague(d) my element), even springing for the $4 overnight option (Thank you PRIME!), and couldn't be happier. My pregnant wife likes it so much she's resolute to throw caution to the wind and resume drinking. Who could resist pulling a frosty beverage from this bad boy and tossing it in trade at the end of a hard day? Not this guy! And this fridge delivers including style. Only thing I can think of as a drawback is it doesn't keep the ice frozen, but then, giving up room in it for ice when it could be holding more beer is just ludicrous. This scenario in fact makes me shudder to deliberate.Summary? Kick-ass fridge for the money and if you have Prime, pay the $4 to overnight it just so you can tell your friends you overnighted a FRIDGE for FOUR FREAKING DOLLARS. Then slam in trade a cold one for emphasis.Bring up to date 1/16/14: This fridge no longer appears to be offered by Amazon, and is now selling for a ridiculous price from outside vendors. Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere for this model, or find a comparable model here that subdue offers Prime (even though Amazon sadly no longer allows equipment this big to get away including being overnighted for $3.99).In other news, this fridge continues to deliver cold beverages flawlessly, and other than the kids fingerprints all over it, subdue looks pretty good. If you didn't snag one before Amazon bunged carrying them, I believe sorry for you. but there has to be a touch almost as good available for close to what this was selling for (I think I compensated $210 for mine).

Great manufactured goods - only one lacking atrophied space for a freezer part. Can't go wrong with this one. Little pricey, but worth it.

Danby DKC5811BSL Keg Cooler - Stainless Look Latest Reviews

Like a additional reviewer mentioned if you don't get cool airflow through the spigot tower the at the start beer you pour after leave-taking it for 20-30 min will be warm and foamy up. In my case that was near each beer I poured. I bent a fan like the one this guy made and it facility splendid now https://plus.google.com/photos/114416612335287313960/albums/5257362427552313025For $650 you must not have to make modifications like this. Additional than that foremost conundrum it facility well and looks good. Also a good tip for conniving the love is to place a thermometer surrounded by a dinghy of fill up to more painstakingly mimic the love of the beer and cut down on wild fluctuations in the air temp.
- Z. Boyet

I washed-out the calculate to assemble the entire element. Ordeal the valve (1st weak top early my investigate). The beer tower was abstractedly insulated. Plugged it in 9 pm and at that calculate morning 7:30 am it was still opportunity warmth. Can pocket see of derision early the cold plate, the compressor was in succession and hot. I pocket in the lead physically here was a refrigerant leak and the element arrive without any refrigerant.

The Danby DKC5811BSL 5.8 cu ft kegerator is a very good unit for the fee. Plus it is American made! With the intention of is not the case for the majority of despondent-priced kegerators made known there. With the intention of being said, in view of the fact with the intention of this is an despondent-priced model there is good and bad. Initially let's go with the good: A 5lb aluminum CO2 reservoir, dual gage regulator showing reservoir pressure and beer line pressure, enough opportunity to hold two 1/6 kegs without a problem, no problems holding temperature of the keg at 36 degrees, externally mounted CO2 reservoir to extend the fill up time of your CO2, includes a good D category coupler to connect the keg, it looks good. Currently for the bad: This is a cold plate refrigerator, so the temperature is constantly unpredictable and a circulation addict is needed (I used a 120mm notebook addict with 4 screws to hold up off of bottom and an old 6v section phone mount to power with the line run through the same fissure as CO2 line), Some category of tower cooler is needed otherwise your initially beer poured will be foam if sitting unused for a while (I used an old 3 inch notebook addict I mounted to a box with the intention of I laid in the bottom of kegerator with hose going up into tower), beer line is only 5ft long...which is not a problem for most beers keep for light beers requiring privileged pressures (greater than display 12psi) could yield foam because of speed of tide...a longer beer line would decipher with the intention of, the pressure CO2 line comes with fake clamps...need to replace with metal to ensure no CO2 leaks, the 17 inch or oversized coors/miller kegs do not all set (kegerator is only 16 inches deep). Besides a couple of these small modifications needed it is a very good kegerator!
- Aviator001

Well, as the box arrived, it was all beat up. After I cut the straps, the box basically fell apart. The adjoin door of the kegerator has dents in it. I assembled the element per the instructions. The next day I fired it up. On the coldest setting it froze the inside. Numerous days shortly, I bought my initially keg. Oh my, this is good! The beer is cold, it works great, and I am pleased so far. However, the tap faucet drips. I need to figure out why, but I will pass the time until I drain this keg! I am considering doing what approximately others has not compulsory, building a small fan assembly to help circulate the air, especially up into the tower. I feel it was a good take care of business and a nice investment for the football season! I just fancy the door did not be inflicted with dents. They are small ornamental dents with the intention of do not preview the operation.
- Kristin Kennedy

The kegerator looks splendid and extremely qualified. It is easy to get started including splendid directions, and works flush best. We love it!
- Jan Dougherty

For this being a fill in eligible product, it was worth being compensated.Pros:- Straightforward to assemble-Keeps Keg frost- Does its jobCons:- Doesn't occur including a temperature booklover so it takes a little to discover the aptly do fleeting bring about so your beer is not too lukewarm or too frost- Shipping, they did not soubriquet including care came including approximately dentsOverall a good product and I would urge this if you were a fill in member and looking for a decent feature for a good fee.
- Michael G. Strauss

I bought a multitap have control ended (3) and kindness everyting in this vicinity it. I'm a homebrewer and can all fit 3 of my kegs in here. Greatly recommed!
- Corey Fuller

I cannot hammer a nail stright but this business was unadorned to bed in and undemanding to use. the single adjustments I looked-for to get on to from spec were the CO2 rank and do fleeting bring about.
- Phil Saucedo

effective on my third keg and has worked splendid in check over of the fact including the intention of i assembled it .It will also get actually coolness.I had it set at 8 to 9 it froze the beer affect had to curve it not effective.
- shawn head

If you purchase one of these make sure you open he package and inspect it. I had three in a row show up damaged. UPS beat the crap out the box every time.

Danby DUF448WDD Designer 15.8 Cu. Ft. White Upright Freezer - Energy Star Purchaser Review

Purchased in 2011 for $410 (sale fee including 15% cash bitter for the piece incoming disfigured, dinged, and scratched), this is a modest less than what I would expect early a median-range freezer. The compressor is really loud on tile floor. The apparatus bulb goes made known each 3 months (extraordinary). It does the career and is in a opportunity where noise is not a foremost come forth. It's still effective and we be inflicted including had it going on 2 being now. I can't converse in for the energy efficiency as I do not be inflicted including the figures to in trade it up.Looks be fond of here is a Maytag develop including the intention of HomeDepot now carries as they be inflicted including discontinued promotion this develop.
