Whirlpool 26 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator - GI6FDRXXY Best Reviews

Whirlpool 26 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator - GI6FDRXXY Best ReviewsVortex strain fridges do not have the quality that they use to. My brother has a akin develop and it's already blown its following motor surrounded by 2 being. For the fee, you are better off purchasing a better strain that will get you extra than a few being out of it. Purchasing a fridge must continue you 10-20 being and Vortex does not be in this planet up to this.

We bought this refrigerator eight months ago and have really enjoyed it. My partner and I have four children, so we load up both the fridge and freezer sections. We are always bowled over at how much it will call. I often commence the door wondering everywhere another plate of leftovers will go and in some way it just fits of laughter. For develop, we keep four gallons of milk in one fridge door along with numerous bottles of condiments and usually a sippy cup or two. The slide out tray holds a deceptively large amount of stuff. We couldn't be more pleased with ours and have had no problems, although sometimes the ice comes out a little crushed as it is supposed to be cubed. And we really be fond of the way it looks.I would recommend it and would hold it over again.

We purchased our new house in Oct. 2011, and the family builder existing vortex appliances as section of the upgraded benefit. Since then, our refrigerator has looked-for benefit twice, both for the constant mind. The pump that sends water to the ice and water point stops effective. For the price of this appliance, I was hoping for a modest more than 16 months use and two benefit calls, but it may just be the house that is cursed, as our additional vortex appliances be inflicted including also had problems, including the dishwasher and range hood.As others be inflicted including mentioned at this time, the ice point is actually loud, and unless you hold the glass right up against the opening, you will be inflicted including ice all over the place, and extremely modest in the glass. The temperature readings look to be off as water supply, as we be inflicted including had bacon freeze in the meat tray at the bottom of the refrigerator, not the freezer. I median frozen solid, flush even if we be inflicted including the temp set at 41 degrees. If you reflect this is the fridge for you, then by all earnings get the total warranty...vortex wanted me to pay $350 to occur out and repair my fridge for the second time, since it is 4 months past my 1 year warranty.

We bought this fridge about two months ago as a replacement for a horrible Samsung that flooded our house. So far so good on this one. It's big, with good-sized veggie and deli drawers, lots of tall shelves (once we took an extraneous one out), and a deep freezer. All seems to be kept evenly cool, apart from for a cold spot in the top median where we found inadvertently frozen condiments. Now that we know, no big deal. The french doors work fine -- the one that is held to be 'in the rear' the other will open/close non-centrally with a bit of extra concentration, and the alarm will let you know if you've forgotten it.The only downside is the ice maker, which is ridiculously noisy both when big with water and with chopping up the ice (or no matter what it's doing). The room isn't near what you'd guess from such a big fridge; it runs out of ice after not many glasses. It has also jammed up with ice several times, requiring us to take out the ice from the top of the means to preclude it from slowly melting into the little door tray all day. So - beyond doubt not a win in that sphere. But if you're mostly using the fridge as just a plain old fridge, then it's a good one.

This refrigerator is a piece of a waste of time items! The bottom freezer constantly has a page of frozen water in the bottom. I take it out at least approximately calculate ago each two weeks. The top ridge of the refrigerator freezes everything. The cold dispensed water doesn't last extremely long before it becomes hot. The icemaker on ours just just bunged working and I've only had it 2 being! Not worth the fee you pay.

I would not urge this refrigerator, primarily in a family tree room or great room type background. The fan is very noisy and according to the technician sent by Vortex that amount of noise, made when the fan goes into high speed,is habitual. I had to put rolls of cotton batting on the sides to memories the noise. A supporter also had this conundrum and believes it is the motor suspension that has disastrous. Also as others have said, the ice cubes shoot out onto the floor and the ice maker noise is significant.

We remodeled our kitchen in Feb 2012 and bought ended 5K value of SS appliances (and 5-year warranties) from Brandsmart in Deerfield coast,Fl counting this lovely-looking Vortex-Gold stainless-steel French Entrance Bottom Freezer refrigerator. Solely 6 months shortly the plastic CENTER SUPPORT SNAPPED IN THE FRONT to cause the 2 vegetable/fruit bins it supported to 'reduction' and be converted into misaligned (reducing inward, toward the focal top at that calculate to all additional); this made the veggie bins tricky to pull out and made the bottom DELI bin impossible to pull out (in check over of the fact that the 2 veggie bins above it were now meeting in the lead the DELI bin not extra than them). Here was no conundrum with Vortex Consumer Service to hurl out a new plastic focal top help REPLACEMENT part in check over of the fact that this was water supply surrounded by the 1-year warranty cycle from the Manufacturer (and the Brandsmart 5-year warranty cycle). Installing this part was undemanding and at at the initiation we chocked this up to 'infant mortality' everywhere a to some extent defective cut of plastic had dead bad...(but we were WRONG!)...I say this in check over of the fact that solely 6 months with installing the REPLACEMENT part from Vortex, the constant business happened ended again...the constant plastic focal top help SNAPPED IN THE FRONT to cause the 2 vegetable/fruit bins it supported to 'reduction' and be converted into misaligned (reducing toward the focal top, and building the DELI drawer impossible to commence).Examination of the fault part shows a extremely weak commerce top planning in my attitude...that a 1/8-inch-thick cut of plastic that's about 1-inch wide, front to in trade may maybe help the surrounded by of not one, but TWO Vegetable/Fruit bins. Everyone knows that apples, oranges, pears, lettuce, lemons, and nearly each kind of fruit or vegetable has approximately WEIGHT that must be supported, and in this explanation the consequence of a habitual amount of veggies and fruits will cause the contravention obstruction of the plastic focal top help ended calculate (6-months in my explanation). I have by no means owned a refrigerator with such a indigent help logic for the vegetable drawers or had to 'estimate' how loads of pieces of fruit or vegetables I may maybe steadily ADD to the two bins to dodge this CENTER SUPPORT SNAPPING obstruction due to their consequence. So now I have an high-priced cut of stainless-steel fridge that looks splendid on the further than but is extremely poorly calculated surrounded by with accept to the CENTER PLASTIC SUPPORT that really 'CAN'T SUPPORT' greatly consequence in the vegetable/fruit bins at all.To get on to matters of poorer quality as I called up Brandsmart Warranty services for a new veggie-bins focal top help the daughter I spoke with told me "THIS ISN'T SUPPORTED BY YOUR WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS"- and that they would single help "ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL FAILURES of the fridge". As I questioned why a SNAPPING PIECE OF PLASIC THAT SUPPORTS TWO VEGETABLE/FRUIT BINS didn't reduction into the MECHANICAL FAILURE category, she subdue denied my judgment; as I asked to speak with a superintendent a man got on the buzz and backed up the indigent daughter that at the initiation answered the buzz... so I told the super I'd discover a new house to supermarket the at that calculate calculate, and would by no means buy a additional Brandsmart Apparatus or Warranty ended again! I reminded him that as I bought the FIVE-YEAR WARRANTIES for all my new kitchen appliances in January, 2012 the salesman told me they would cover "ANYTHING THAT WENT WRONG" with them...the Warranty Superintendent told me that I was "misinformed" and that I must have look into the stipulations and situation previous to purchasing the warranties. I told him that I'd unwritten their salesman to be an reliable guy and here was no bring up about 'not replacing kaput plastic parts' surrounded by the appliances as he sold me the warranties. So greatly for Brandsmart Warranties! The skilled hearsay is that I was able to buy a replacement plastic focal top help part from a community apparatus parts store for below $20 that built-in a "free replacement of the part for LIFE". I installed the new part and will now hope this replacement part will continue extra than the 6-month lives of the at the initiation two that ruined! Honestly WHIRLPOOL, did you always TEST for the contravention consequence of this exceptionally indigent plastic focal top help for your two vegetable/fruit bins previous to releasing this refrigerator for deal? In my attitude the single business that will everlastingly repair this commerce flaw is a focal top help part manufactured from metal instead of the plastic part full. For this mind single I'm giving this refrigerator a '2-star rating' as the surplus of it has been working fair so far. (knock on wood!!!)

I purchased this fridge from Lowes on May 1. By early August the ice maker was dripping. I called Whirlpool and they sent out a benefit person. HOWEVER...before to the repair guy indoors I realized that the entire element was warming up. The dripping was caused from the ice melting (and pouring out the point, not working the adjoin of the fridge). The freezer inside were thawing and the milk and meat in the fridge section were spoiling. Helpful Whirlpool consumer benefit suggested I "reset" the computer by unplugging and replugging in the element. Bolt from the blue! The compressor had been off, which I didn't realize. The element began cooling not working over again and I hoped it was ok. But as the benefit guy indoors the next day he read the love and understood my fridge was 47 (I had it set at 33) and the freezer was 44 degrees (set at -1). According to him, the sealed logic was flawed. They were vacant to need to replace the evaporator, compressor and all the freon. It would take a few days to order parts and be a long process to replace the entire refrigeration function of my 3-month-old fridge. The AMAZING part: Lowes is REPLACING my element (hurray!) within a day, the fee has gone not working so unattractively get approximately $$ back. Hopefully it will not go into repairing the stupid thing in another few months. But I'm really proud of Lowes. Fingers crossed that I don't have a big piece of garbage in my kitchen.

Had it since July. The doors require a conscious try to close, which with two months, we have not mastered. There is a soft beeping alarm that sounds with a time if the doors are not sealed. Despite this, we all find the doors ajar for no reason. The freezer frosted over with about 24 hours of life slightly open (we were gone overnight). Maybe we've had a lifetime of old fridges with inefficient, easy to close doors and need more time to get used to this like cut of gear? I'd like to observe additional "high-end" fridge doors in proceedings. Also, the ice cubes and crushed ice comes spraying out, building it difficult to capture them in a glass underneath the shoot. The inset tray does not have a drain for the melted ice which does not (in volume) make it into the cup. We keep a cotton rug close to absorb the fill up that comes from the ice swelling additional than our containers onto the stump. The fill up that pools in the tray we soak up with a towel. The fridge came new with a new household.

The fridge doesn't cool everything properly, You have to be careful where you place your produce because it will freeze in some areas. I have wasted a lot of cash from throwing away produce due to it freezing. Had numerous repairs done to the fridge, everything from the ice maker to light. This is the worst product I've bought. By no means had so much vex with no matter what thing in my life. Even the technicians that came from vortex said it was a poorly point model.I bought this because it was assemble here in the US, but spend your cash elsewhere!
