I had my Danby less than 24 hours before the problems started. I had the thermostat set at slightly more than half (probably 6/10) for the initially nocturnal it was in use. I moved it to the top ridge and waited another 30 minutes, and found it showing 54 degrees! A 17 degree difference between top and bottom!!! Not to bring up with the intention of 37 degrees is WAY too cold especially when the thermostat dial is set so despondent.So it seems with the intention of I am experiencing the same inconsistent cooling with the intention of at smallest amount 2 other reviewers are having. Amazon was great about setting up a replacement delivery & pickup. I am willing to try a replacement before calling this fridge a total failure. I bought this fridge short notice when a defrosting attempt rendered my last beer fridge deadly, and I felt a little pressured to hit the Go button on it as my tasty 12oz's of Heaven slowly warmed. But I must say I'm not disappointed at all! It's a great size, looks fantastic, isn't as heavy as I thought it would be, is extremely quiet, and keeps more than 60 bottles of Sam Adams ice cold and within arms reach including room to spare! My original fridge was a Kenmore job, including a pathetic waste-of-interval freezer section (which this does not have) that for some unknown reason Sears saw fit to make the freezer stump out of the cooling constituent. So of course it iced up like you read about, and I, like many a man before me, took the task of removing this ice seriously (it was encroaching on my beer interval as it grew!)...and pulled out my trusty, and ridiculously pointy, pocket knife. So after a bath of freon, or what always the hell they're using these days to cool, washed over me including a snake-like hiss, I proceeded to slam the door and muscle the fridge out to the driveway where it subdue sits. Luckily my beer supply was low (it pains me to admit this), so I only needed to commandeer a single ridge in the practically useless "food" fridge as the wife calls it. But knowing this arrangement wouldn't last, I needed a new fridge, and fast. So I bit the bullet after reading a few whiny reviews about ridiculously trivial issues (like not getting cool enough, or damaged in shipping; neither of which plague(d) my element), even springing for the $4 overnight option (Thank you PRIME!), and couldn't be happier. My pregnant wife likes it so much she's resolute to throw caution to the wind and resume drinking. Who could resist pulling a frosty beverage from this bad boy and tossing it in trade at the end of a hard day? Not this guy! And this fridge delivers including style. Only thing I can think of as a drawback is it doesn't keep the ice frozen, but then, giving up room in it for ice when it could be holding more beer is just ludicrous. Earthquakes leave properties damaged, residents shaken

When the first jolt hit, Fullerton Mayor Pro Tem Greg Sebourn was on the couch getting his 4- and 8-year-old daughters ready for bed.

On Saturday, the mayor was thankful their injuries weren't worse. "It's the strongest jolt I've ever felt, and I've been in the same town for 41 years," he said.

A series of temblors, punctuated by a magnitude 5.1 earthquake Friday night near La Habra, did more than rattle nerves. Residents in some areas of the hardest-hit communities of La Habra, Brea and Fullerton spent Saturday dealing with no water service, spotty power, crumbled brick walls and other damage.

They were the lucky ones.

Authorities estimated more than 100 people were displaced by the quake at least for a night and some may not be able to return home for days.

In Fullerton, 83 people were displaced after firefighters deemed six residences and 20 apartment units too damaged to occupy. City building officials must survey the structures one by one and clear them before residents can return, said Tom Schultz, deputy chief of operations for the Fullerton Fire Department.

All of those displaced in Fullerton chose to stay with family and friends instead of going to an emergency shelter, Shultz said. In La Habra, authorities said 38 people, including seven children, spent the night at a Red Cross shelter.

"We were told many of them were living in a building that was uninhabitable," Red Cross spokeswoman Meredith Mills said.

In Buena Park, a 60-year-old man was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries after a TV toppled on him, Schultz said.

For most, the biggest headache was clearing away the aftermath of the quake, which was preceded and followed by a series of smaller nerve-rattling temblors that continued into Saturday. About 2:30 p.m., a shallow magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit the nearby Rowland Heights area but no damage or major injuries were reported.

Friday night's shaking left scattered damage across the La Habra area, near the quake's epicenter, hitting houses, apartments and businesses as well as street lights that were left dangling precariously.

"From 20 to 30 businesses suffered broken plate-glass windows, many of them along Whittier Boulevard," La Habra Police Sgt. David Crivelli said. "There were also some apartments with stucco damage and leaking water."

By 10:30 p.m. Friday, residents had been evacuated from apartment units in the 2500 block of West Whittier Boulevard, the 400 block of North Idaho Street and the 700 block of West 1st Avenue. An L.A. Fitness center near Imperial Highway and Beach Boulevard had water running off the roof.

In Brea, officials were working to repair a broken water main.

Wayne Sass of Fullerton said a large picture covered with glass flew nine feet off the wall and shattered within inches of his terrified 9-year-old son. There was broken glass in every room and some cracks in the home's stucco, he said.

"We spent most of the night just trying to clean it up so the kids wouldn't wake up in the morning and be reminded of it," he said.

Their home on Canyon Drive had been without water since early Saturday, when a city crew shut off a broken water main. For most of the night, a geyser 75 feet tall spilled into a giant birdbath-like depression formed when the asphalt dipped, he said.

One of Sass' enterprising neighbors, Andrew Lashbrook, used empty five-gallon containers to dip into the crater and fill them with water. He said he would use it to wash dishes and do laundry.

"You don't realize how much you need water until it doesn't come out of the spigot," Lashbrook said.

Frustrated with the circumstances I called costco explained what happened and they picked up the faulty freezer and I purchased a second freezer thinking it was just a stroke of luck; however last Friday I ran into a additional problem. They make a cool night set alight and contest the blue LEDs on the other electronics in my kitchen.The interior rack logic is not above all heavy or levelheaded and I stand by my description of it as "unlikable" but with three being of set alight to moderate use all is intact and functioning by the book. The door handle, hinges, buttons, etc. are all effective as they must.So, my attitude with 3 being? This fridge looks bonafied in our kitchen. The temp gauges are a tad bright but I don't mind. With the illumination on it looks techy and present. It in fact makes a clad night set alight in the kitchen and matches the blue LEDs on our other appliances. With the illumination off it's more devious but still looks polished and cool.Dual Zone. It actually facility. My scale? Reds on the top at 55, whites and other colder wines on the bottom at 50. Nice.Bottle size. Other reviewers have lamented the deepness of the cooler and the fact that it limits the size of bottle it can hold. Even as it's true that you can't fit the longest bottles in this cooler, it will definitely hold bottles that are moderately fat or long. It's not a big issue for me.Cons:Temp limits. Even as 44 degrees isn't bad, I wish you could top out to cool all the way down to 35 for champagne and other cold-served wines. Of way the key is that you just pop the bottle out of the Whynter and into the refrigerator for an hour and you're set.Signal amount. I was surprised how loud this cooler is. It is at least as loud if not a bit louder than the full-sized refrigerator a few feet away. It's not too bad but definitely noticeable.Cheezy construction. If you use it much the construction feels positively low-cost - primarily the racks.Filters. The cooling unit on this fridge is so borderline that the air filters in the back must be very nearly perfectly clean for it to work by the book. I had only had it a few months when I noticed that the temps had ongoing to inch up. Over time the temps rose to nearly room temperature. Eventually, I pulled the unit out and prominent that the two filters were pretty dusty. I cleaned them and surrounded by an hour the fridge was down to it's habitual temps. Now, as soon as I see the temps rise a top above the set temp I clean the filters. The first time this happened I thought it was a faulty unit and that I was vacant to have to send it back (a gripe I've seen about these fridges in other reviews) but once I figured out that it was the filters I have had no other issues. Not a deal surf but a in tears to keep in mind - primarily if your install is such that it's not easy to slide it out and back.ConclusionI guess it all comes down to the inquiry "meaningful what I know now would I buy this wine fridge over again"? The resolution is YES. Even with it's flaws this is a serious entry amount wine fridge and for it's price I don't reflect you could do any better.

Not only does GE make the most worthless piece of cr@p appliances, they also have the all-time worst customer service.Have gone through two of these refrigerators. The first one shook and squeaked like crazy every time we opened its door. The renovate tech's solution was to "level" the fridge. They "leveled" the fridge over 10 times in 18 months. The first fridge also frequently made a extremely loud, random clicking noise. The noise could be heard over the TV, movies, etc... It was extraordinarily disturbing, especially when the family is trying to have a quiet feast or even watch a movie in the living room. After going through hell (about 20-30 hours on the phone and over a dozen useless, failed service calls) GE finally replaced the fridge (only because the developer of our new house forced the local sales rep to replace it; GE customer service basically told us to F-off). And the new fridge makes an even louder clicking sound! WTF?!Avoid ALL GE products like the plague. They are a worthless company that doesn't give a rat's a55 about customer service and cares even less about taking thousands of your hard-earned dollars in exchange for a useless product that is designed to fail miserably.

It over frosted and would not cool, ice maker does not work properly, and this last time I am told there is no fixing the problem it just will not cool to below 50 degrees. Paying this much for something I expect it to last longer and do what it is supposed to do. Not happy at all! Orders the parts and schedules to come fix it - Monday 10/28/13! Another week running in and made known to the garage.I'm not too in no doubt that they'll get on to this machine working by the book and if they do, how long before a circuit board S*** the floor that isn't under warranty.I feel bad for those that don't have the luxury of a second refrigerator. I'm extremely thankful. I'm just bowled over that a company like GE can't stand behind a $1500 piece of equipment for any longer than 1 time.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Unlike tattoos, quarterbacks are never permanent. So with the Jets releasing Mark Sanchez last week, the most intriguing question surrounding the break-up has nothing to do with football but with the ink drawing on the upper right arm of Rex Ryan.

You remember, the tattoo in which Ryan's wife is depicted wearing a Jets jersey with Sanchez's number 6 on it. At the AFC coaches' breakfast on Tuesday morning, Ryan rolled up his sleeve to show just a little bit of the design that he says will be staying with him . . . but perhaps with a modification.

"The tattoo is still there," Ryan said. "It was my tattoo, and it's still my tattoo . . . I may alter it, who knows? I may put 75 on it and honor Winston Hill. I think that's the idea. That's what I'm going to do."

That alteration may provide Ryan with some closure on his relationship with Sanchez.

"That was my first draft pick, me being a coach that was my first pick," Ryan said. "You have the vision that this guy is going to be with you for 10 years. I'm sure every coach has that. Very few make it that far. I think in an ideal world, that's what you would have liked."

Instead, it lasted just half that, the final three years a bit beleagueredly. Sanchez didn't even play last year after injuring his shoulder in a preseason game.

Ryan said Sanchez can still be a starter in the NFL.

"I absolutely do," he said. "I think the best judge of quarterbacks is probably their record . . . His win-loss record is not by fluke. The guy has talent. The big thing about Mark, when he learns to protect the football better, that's probably the thing that's missing more than anything."

Ryan also said that being released from the Jets would help Sanchez. Reports on Monday had Sanchez going to Philadelphia.

"I think it's good for him that he moves on and he'll have a chance to start again," he said. "He had success here. I'm sure he's got some great memories here and some great moments, and that's more than a lot of people can say. He took a team to two [AFC] championship games as a young quarterback. Not everybody can do that. He had some big wins here, a lot of come-from-behind wins, things like that that he can be really proud of. But he's also got a chance to start again somewhere else."

Even though he's been replaced on the roster with the signing of Michael Vick -- and apparently is soon to be replaced on Ryan's arm -- the coach and the quarterback will continue to share a bond.

Said Ryan: "Mark knows how I feel about him."

I just bought this LG after a horrible Frigidaire experience. I don't put a lot of faith in "just installed" reviews for myself, but I can say now that it runs quiet, the shelving does not bow excessively when pressed on to simulate a turkey(I compared them all in the pile at the start - GE had to be the most terrible). The ice maker is noisy single when the cubes decline into the plastic bin. I am thinking of installing a layer of bubble wrap on the bottom to dull the cube impact.As set from the factory, I measured the top frig shelf area running at ~38'F, the bottom shelf runs at 36'F and the freezer at 1'F.I will placement much shortly on how this frig is doing - skilled or bad. I opted for the 5 year warranty from Best Buy just in case given the miserable comments on near all mfg'rs.

Nice fridge with freezer drawer that is fairly deep and accommodates enough food storage for my family of 5. The fridge part could be better as far as storage. Maybe if you remove one of the shelves or move them around a bit you could find more space. I tend to be a couple times a week shopper so I don't have alot of food all the time in the house and I have to organize my fridge often to make room. It does have an alarm for when the doors are left open. I love that featured! The icemaker makes large noraml sized square cubes. Overall my opinion is that for its low cost it's an excellent choice as far as aesthetics go and it's fairly quiet. If you are looking for a very large fridge this isn't it! Oh and the front is not magnetic! Only the sides. If you like displaying kids material on you fridge you'll have to pass on this one.

(The LG has the same mechanisms as the Kenmore).The Good:I have to say I was a modest disappointed at first. I like the open ridge interval that the in-door ice apparatus affords. I also like the three layers of drawers in the freezer. That all altered once I loaded up the new Samsung. The extra interval in the door of the Samsung turned out to be WAY more than I anticipated. The Kenmore and LG have the slim shelving on the ice apparatus side. That seems like it would be ample, but let me tell you, it's not. Persons shelves are so slim, that only just any condiments fit in them. And you can only fit one row. It doesn't seem like a big deal in anticipation of you are rifling owing to a full refrigerator looking for a tiny but too-around-to-fit-in-the-door jar of jelly that has made its way to the back of the underside ridge because you don't use it that often. The cooling system is a mess; our food spoils regularly and even if the warmth is set low according to the digital display, it is not what it registers with our own digital thermometer.
