We LOVE this fridge. The Fridge space is splendid and organized well with shelves that slide out to make everything accessible. The fridge is calm down, it can be loud at initially when it's building ice, but after the tray is full, it runs quietly. We love the ease of the of the underside mount freezer, it's seems so much easier to open then the side by sides. The freezer seems smaller than a habitual freezer, but the drawer figure and the divider does help with organization. The only real problem is it doesn't fit a generous frozen pizza real well. The biggest problem with this fridge is the door doesn't shut well. Even if you push it shut you really need to push it hard and make sure it shuts. I have found it vaguely ajar more than once, and we are a family with teens who surely know how to slam shut a fridge. I wish it had a door alarm to alert you when it's open. It's the only thing that we don't like about this fridge.

Have had this refrigerator for approximately two being. The freezer leaks onto the floor and has actually ruined a hardwood floor. I have to chop the ice on the bottom of freezer daily in order to dodge the problem. No help at all from Whirlpool who stated that I could buy an extended warranty for over $300.00 or have unit serviced. Google it and you will see that this is a ordinary problem and an obvious design flaw. Shameful.

bought this fridge 18 months ago, recently it started to create a sheet of ice followed by a gunk of ice on the coils followed by a faulty starter which vortex knows about and makes it nearly impossible to find the part. horrible experience washed-out lots of cash on spoiled food and having to dine out my family of 4. too bad I've invested over $2000 on the fridge and the matching oven, what a disappointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

I've had this fridge for a month now and am very happy.1) Fridge space: Lots of room surrounded by. I was apprehensive that the reins near the top would get in the way when putting tall bottles on the top shelf but that hasn't been an issue.2) Drawer space: I particularly elected a fridge lacking the "catering drawer" since I eat lots of veggies and sought after the space for them. I actually use all the space in the vegetable drawers. While I'm not disappointed, I could even use more veggie space.3) Freezer: It works great, but I have a link of issues. The first is that with the bent back of the freezer, it feels like I have less space than my prior 18.5 cu.ft. fridge. Not sure, but it just seems like now that I have a freezer that in fact works, I don't have ample space to do the cook-ahead and freeze stuff I would have liked. Also, I would actually have ideal a door very than a drawer. To get to the ice, you have to pull the full underneath drawer out and only then can you pull out the top shelf which holds the ice cube bin at the back. It's do-able but it just doesn't make sense to have to pull all the frozen stuff out into the room when all I want is a handful of ice cubes.4) Noise level: I know folks have had issues with noise but not me. This fridge is actually quiet, building just a bit of noise when it fills the ice cube tray5) Go up feel: I don't know why a additional assess complained that the sides of the fridge were texttured very than charming --- I am happy with the feel. I like it.Quick note on size: I had to get this fridge into a small space as I have an old-fashioned kitchen. The in print depth is 33" counting the door but it is in fact just over 30" counting the door, which worked well for me.So, even with my nit-alternative, I'm very happy with the fridge. . .4/3/2012 I'm still actually happy with the fridge. I took a very high-priced total warranty out on this fridge since of all the halfhearted reviews but I'm happy that I've not had to use it. The freezer still seems a bit small compared to my old fridge, but I love the refrigerator.

I bought this refrigerator May 28th 2011. For numerous months it worked well but then we ongoing noticing droplets of fill up, ice and eventually a page of ice casing the very underneath of the freezer screened-off area. We defrosted it and left the door open for a little to make sure here was no ice left and tried it over again, same consequence. Figuring that this may maybe be a conundrum with the cabinet not life amount that was check and establish good. The icemaker was also check and amount and twisted off for a little. Over again it sheeted ice in the underneath. With pulling the panels and difficult the drain (no easy task agreed the top of this unit) the drain was establish to be open. Even as in here it was a good time to sterile the condenser coils located on the very underneath. These are calculated in such a way that it's impossible to get a coil brush thru them or near ample to do any good. Compressed air is in this area the only choice and that actually doesn't get them sterile. This in some way got an energy star rating but the top is so poor that it indeed would not keep up good efficiency over the appliances time except the title-holder was able to keep these coils sterile and dust free. Vortex's Consumer Encounter Crucial top has been emailed and contacted also by buzz. Their rep "Terry" in Cleveland Tenn was very polite but said "youre out of warranty" and got a superintendent to converse in with me. The superintendent "Joetta" commented that I was "Well out of the warranty cycle" at 3 months and 3 weeks and existing to fix my apparatus by the side of with a being total warranty for $319.99. With a modest best than a year I discontent export this refrigerator and discontent that I chose Vortex.

This is an bring up to date, on Sept. 4, 2012: The first, distinguished leaning drone including the intention of was extremely annoying has ceased. The release scarce blast currently is an erratic clicking signal, attributed to additional opportunity. If not, the refrigerator has quieted not effective nicely, and is the acting water supply. I can more comfortably urge this Vortex currently.I release expected the refrigerator now, so I cannot annotation on its surgical course of action so far, additional than to display including the intention of it seems water supply-owing to by now's principles, and it cooled promptly as I fired it up. Here is everywhere the conundrum fabrication (at nominal amount pro me): Even as the addict blast is check, the element makes a distinguished-leaning buzzing blast even as in succession including the intention of is positively grating if you be inflicted including a insightful ear. Approximately broadcast may not be competent to take reflect it over of it, others may discover it insignificant, save pro pro me, it's be fond of having a mosquito in my ear. I'm not guaranteed including the intention of unattractively be competent to be in this world including it; calculate will caution. Extra refrigerators are held to be quieter than the grown-up ones, save pro this lone is in detail noisier than my 12-time-old GE feature-by-feature. I display this release as a notification to persons who are looking pro a calm down model, or who are insightful to fastidious noises. As pro the surplus of the refrigerator, a release just any notes. The lobby storage may maybe aid a release just any more shelves pro smaller bits and pieces. If you just aspire to pile generous bottles, it's fine. The element does not occur including a filter pro the hoarfrost maker, so you'll call for to install an open-air lone if your fill up warrants it. The charming close on the doors will liable scrape basically, so I wouldn't urge it if you be fond of to strike magnets and equipment on your fridge. The dividers in the freezer baskets are sincerely tough to take out, if you aspire to do so, and - though I place of safeguard't to the top it so far, the freezer seems to be inflicted including a smaller usable opportunity than it must, outstanding to the basket design. I was a piece puzzled by their extent of a underneath basket, rather than a solid drawer; it seems a cut-rate amount of water supply-methodical to be inflicted including an commence underneath in the freezer, allowing the coolness to just reduction to the floor as you commence the freezer.Whirlpools be inflicted including a skilled record, in stipulations of reliability, and I'm in tension including the intention of this lone will take up again in including the intention of tradition (if I can get on to earlier cycle the blast factor). I desire including the intention of this assess existing you approximately helpful in rank. I may enlarge an bring up to date before long.

A year and a half old, and like others, the freezer on the bottom facility but each link of months the top gets warm, to in this area 58 degrees. My partner is clever and after surveillance community machine repairman thaw out the ice on the evaporatior coils he can do it himself. That is, AFTER removing all from the freezer (ok in very cold chill ride out but not such fun in summer) and being paid down and by the hairdryer on it. Lots of fun for both of us. I would give this business ZERO stars if that was doable. Cut of CRAP. And I had done investigate and read reviews before to purchasing.

Including 18 months, my refrigerator drain froze up and dumped water into the baffle of the freezer which froze in a sheet of ice. It then to a degree thawed periodically and leaked water out the front on the baffle. Yes, I did not buy an total warranty narrow pro this refrigerator.I took the refrigerator apart, indifferent all the ice and cleaned the drain, and am coming up to think it over if the conundrum reappears. If it does, it is either a defective thaw out potential or a terrible addict. Either lone of these will expense you $300 to get a benefit tech to repair it in your home.Pro a DIYer, to take out an ice blockage, you have to take out the underside lobby, drawers and part of the drawer tracks, as water supply as the ice maker to get the back panel out in the freezer. Then, to make guaranteed you have gotten all the ice out, you have to take out the panel on the back of the refrigerator and inspect the drain all the way to the evaporator tray, which is hidden behind the back panel. This took me about 3 hours.I wrote a terrible review on Whirlpool's website, where I found several similar complaints about the freeze-up conundrum, and was contacted by a customer relations person by way of email. She demanded my name, take up, phone digit, and the serial digit of my refrigerator. Then, by restore email she said they have no benefit bulletins indicating including the intention of this is a conundrum including their refrigerators. Then she volunteered to advertise me a benefit narrow. She also said they do not have any benefit technicians available to have a discussion to customers. Then, Whirlpool REMOVED MY BAD REVIEW FROM THEIR WEBSITE!In fact, we like the refrigerator and I would have agreed it a higher rating if it went conundrum emancipated pro 4 or 5 years, AND if Whirlpool was helpful. Neither happened so I would urge including the intention of you discover a companionship including a better confirmation.

I bought this fridge 3 and 1/2 being ago and I'm extremely fortunate with it.With this bottom freezer develop, it's greatly easier to see what's in my fridge as all the provisions is effectively eye amount and now I don't have the harms I old to with provisions that goes bad and has to be terrified out in check over of the fact that it "hides" in seats I don't see. I be fond of how I can re-arrange the entrance storage space and the shelves to fit tall bits and pieces. I compared a lot of fridges in equipment and practically a lot of the plastic entrance storage space and shelves looked be fond of it would break sweet basically. All on this fridge seems lasting and water supply-made. That's a priority for me.I have a WattsUp electric usage measuring device which showed my old 20-year old fridge was estimate me ended $90 a year in electricity. Constant measuring device tells me this develop averages $27 a year. I curve off the ice maker and solely get on to ice in trays (if not it force be $30-32). Flush with the ice maker on it's rated to use solely 405 kwhr/year, everywhere most of the "Energy Investor" side-by-side refrigerators use 548-600 kwhr/year (extremely nearly 50% extra, or I don't know $50/year). Side-by-side refrigerators are extremely inefficient compared with any top freezer or bottom freezer models, but the equipment are full of them and I had to preview harder to discover a bottom freezer. The "Energy star" ordinary is so watered not working it doesn't norm greatly any longer. For the mass (22cubic feet) this was was about the most water supply-methodical refrigerator I may maybe buy, and looks be fond of it subdue is four being shortly. [...]Solely get on to sure the freezer is generous sufficient for your desires, in check over of the fact that it's seems less important than approximately. If you're be fond of me, you'll impart no matter what freezer interval is void. I be fond of the pull-out line basket and in check over of the fact that I can see owing to the line basket from all sides it's greatly easier to see what's in my freezer and get to all now flush even if it's not working low. Even as it force look be fond of pulling the surrounded by of the freezer out into the opportunity in the line basket would dissipate energy, based on my electric measuring device consequences that's observably not a real come forth.I keep a refrigerator thermometer in here at eye amount and it consistently stays at 36-38 everywhere it's held to be on the #6 coolness background. I see approximately broadcast crash harms with melt out fill up collecting in the freezer screened-off area. I check and the bottom of my freezer screened-off area is bone dry.At nominal amount for me, this is a no negotiate scale. Bottom outline: in check over of the fact that now I dissipate a cut-rate amount of provisions on my grocery payment and it made a extremely noticeable decline in my monthly electric payment, I reconcile ended 5-10 being it's actually one of the cheaper refrigerators out here flush even if you're being compensated a really high quality develop. $20-35 a year electric savings ended ten being (compared with all the side-by-side develop planned by CEE) is $200-350, and who knows how greatly I keep on grocery bills? If you pay extra than the 8 cents per kwhr I do (approximately seats are 12 cents or extra) your savings may be flush privileged.

We've only had this refrigerator for about a month so I can't comment on the feature, but it does grow to be nice. It is very quiet and looks great. My only complaint about the underside freezer is how much space the drawer logic takes up. Don't guess to stuff it full, like you would with a habitual top freezer.Minor issue:You have to make sure the door closes absolutely after each use. We were used to lightly closing the door and walking away with our old unit, but this one will not seal except you make a point to consciously close the door. We have woken up in the daylight to find the door open a half inch with all inside absolutely warm...
