We sought after a French door refrigerator, but were dejected by the halfhearted reviews alll over the internet in this area the ice makers in all the brands. We at the initiation purchased an Electrolux frig for $2,900, but the ice maker made no ice...at all....so we returned it. Then we purchased this Vortex Gold at Sears, by a competitive contest fee from Best Buy at $1,499 and categorically love it! The ice maker is awe-inspiring and the rest of the frig is exact as well. We have only had it two weeks, but have no complaints, which is adage a lot in view of the fact that all my investigate showed all the French Door refrigerators getting such horrific ratings in any case of strain. On this fastidious unit, I read in this area extraordinary noises that the frig makes but I've by no means owned a frig that didn't make extraordinary noises so that doesn't scare me. Ice reducing in the tray sounds like ice reducing into a tray...what can I say. If ice employment is an come forth in your household like it is in ours, you will be idiotic about this frig. If I was mandatory to nag, I would recommend to Vortex that they put dividers into the wide deli drawer. But that's all, persons.

Got this refrigerator with our new home. The first one had dents and scratches in it right off the truck, so it was replaced surrounded by a month. This refrigerator had poor clear door tray panels, which will pop out or crack when inserting a gallon of milk or orange juice over and over, day after day. There's not ample room to accommodate it basically, even if that's what the spot is projected for in the fridge. A panel popped out twice and cracked once all surrounded by the first year. At about the 20-month mark the compressor upset and is no longer cooling the fridge or freezer. Renovate man said that they have replaced many of these...often surrounded by the warranty, but now and again just out. The compressor was over $450 for the part alone...plus labor (a 2-hour substitution). Look everyplace else for a refrigerator...and if 20-months is the best Vortex can do on a refrigerator, look for a additional brand as well.
