Samsung RF217AC 20 Cubic Foot French Door Energy Star Refrigerator with Internal Ice Maker, LED, Real Stainless Purchaser Reviews

Bought this refrigerator because of the less important mass and reviews on Customers Crash.I can live including the small interior. First annoyance was the handles chipping including the nominal equipment arresting them. Enclosed up the colorless marks left in the rear including a black marker. Then in the first year, ongoing finding fill up pooling in the bins. Lost bags of pricey flour I had stored in the drawer. Now, 13 months including purchase, the refrigerator bunged cooling. Freezer is effective, keep for including the intention of is forming an icy layer on the underneath. I called Samsung and a renovate self will call in "a calculate or two" - in the meantime I be inflicted including disfigured food and no fridge. Early conception other complaints flush including paying for repairs the fridge has continual problems. Our last fridge lasted for over 20 being - expected a $1500 fridge to last extra than a year!!!!!

I bought a house in September, and the Samsung RF217ACBP was in the house. The fridge was effectively strain new, one of the selling points of the house. In late April 2013, we noticed with the intention of the fridge was not being paid cold; the in trade section had iced up and the fan wasn't effective. We defrosted it, and it froze in trade up ended again within a week. We defrosted it ended again, and it lasted about a month before the same business happened ended again. The fridge was by now out of warranty, so I had to arrange a repair on my own. The repair person said with the intention of the computer was fried, and in check over of the fact with the intention of of this, the sensors did not work properly to keep up the proper temperature, and would deprivation extra to fix then get a new one. So basically a fridge less than 2 years old is dead. Beyond doubt not worth the fee.Additional issues with this fridge: Even with it go enormous, it was tricky to fit a lot of provisions surrounded by; the way the shelves worked, it was tricky to organize large bottles (be fond of a half gallon of milk). The freezer was also very straightforward to teach up, even with it's large size. It was tricky to find provisions in the bottom section without digging almost. If you buy a 'fancy' fridge with the intention of uses a computer, make guaranteed you get an extended warranty. The extra bells and whistles on your fridge, the extra with the intention of can break. On give, all was effective authorize (temperature feeler, compressor) but it didn't theme in check over of the fact with the intention of the computer couldn't connect all.

This Fridge disastrous after 10.5 months of use. The compressor would not kick on and all my food disfigured. Previous to that the compressor was noticeably loud from day one. I have been only just home and the fridge got very modest real use. It looks good and I used to love how it looked in my present kitchen, but now I am very disappointed. Buy at your own risk! Also, I suggest that you search for reviews of the same fridge in uncommon insignia (all the same under the hood) to make a more informed choice!

One star earnings I hate it. A PERFECT DESCRIPTION of how I feel about this POS.Loud. Clunky. The lack of options for introduction shelves everywhere you want them - primarily in the doors - is appalling. The icemaker ruined after 11 months of use because we left the news report in the ice cube bin.... which is everywhere it was when the unit was delivered. Not anything in the blue-collar about "don't do that".The stainless steel front is a pain to keep sterile; the only manufactured goods I've found that actually does take out smudges is citrus oil, but you have to be VERY austere about how you spray it; if the oil spray domain on the baffle you've got a slippery oily mess in front of your refrigerator. While polishing the stainless days gone by, I noticed two distinct rows of RUST SPOTS in succession down the freezer door; plainly the stainless steel was damaged in production. YET ANOTHER warranty call.Samsung's website is a horror - I can't get in even after multiple password resets. Their online chat support is predictable: "Neil" (who's real name has to be Rashnish) takes 5 summary to say "Wretched for your vex"... Oh for the love of god kill me.I by no means would have purchased this refrigerator but had no extent when I bought the condo it came with. It's appalling, and I'm equipped to toss it on the street.

I have the same conundrum as described by others, I can sterile out my veggie drawers and the area under them and then within two days I have notable water in the drawers within two weeks I have ended an creep of water in the drawers and water and ice built up under the drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator screened-off area. I called the SAMSUNG rep and all they said is they have never heard of this conundrum before and was extra then willing to hurl out a tech to vex spurt and repair.... for a fee (and of way the unit is out of warrentee!).I find it tricky to not be a wide apply conundrum in check over of the fact with the intention of as you google it here are numerious websites with complaints about this conundrum.SAMSUNG I estimate surpass from you or is this the way of the possibility for you?????????

I bought a Samsung refrigerator and the freezer door broke surrounded by two weeks. We opened the door no more than 5 times. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced person. We bought a wrap of four Samsung appliances and two of the four did not work.

We were looking for a newer, energy well-methodical refrigerator to exchange our old 1993 GE one -AND- one that will fit in the small interval below the cabinets. This one just fits and has the freezer on the bottom. We were so sick of "bringing up the rear" our odds and ends, fruits and additional goodies to the back of the fridge, only to find it a week before long, disfigured. I'm glad we chose the french doors, but I wish the shelves were tear as a replacement for of one long ridge. The only place to put our milk jars and ice tea and lemonade is in the door on the bottom ridge. So we can fit 2 1/2 gallon jars from the dairy farmer and one jug of lemonade. Anything else and we're out of luck. This would not be essential for soda drinking families who do not wish to pile 2 liters on their sides. Our booze has to lay down on its side on shelves. Meh. I hope it doesn't leak. The old refrigerator had doubtless too much door interval. When I tried putting all from that one into this new fridge, I ended up tossing some of the odd sauces or jellies we had. The freezer portion wasn't so bad. Yes, I infer this is a generous freezer, but we buy our meat a month yet to be of time from a rancher and need to pile quite a bit. One half of the bottom basket is crammed full of 30-40 lbs of meat. The additional half has some boxed foods, corn dogs, french toast sticks, plus all our frozen bagged veggies. Here is room in the high tray for all our ice cream harvest, a frozen pizza and additional misc bits and pieces. The rest of the high tray is the ice maker, which takes a little to get inane according to the blue-collar. We've only had the fridge for 24 hours, so I can't note yet on how promptly it will make ice.I will say that this refrigerator is word calm down. I don't know if it's in succession except I open it for a in tears. It uses half the electricity of the grown-up one (we blocked a Kill-o-Watt on it before to decommissioning it). It's doubtless a good business that I can't fit 500 modest jars of what-not in the doors--it's more rationalized and less muddled and that earnings less to sterile when a jar tips over and leaks. The yield drawers are huge! The meat/cheese drawer, not so much. Here is bounty of ridge interval for odds and ends, if not for drinks.Your lifestyle will dictate whether or not this is the aptly refrigerator for you. If you have lots of odds and ends/take-out, you're good to go. If your family tree is frozen pre-packaged food intake as different to cooking, you'll get by, but you'll need to shop at nominal amount each additional week. And of course if you are a cooking family tree, this will be just fine. Beer drinkers, if you don't need both yield drawers for veggies, then you can fit at nominal amount a 24 pack of long-necks in one of the drawers. Awesomeness. Big 2 liter or milk and OJ drinkers? Take a good look at the ridge configuration.

First, let me say that I'm a huge fan of most Samsung harvest. I have owned multiple Samsung cell phones, TVs, monitors, computers, and other harvest. I have heard the praises on Samsung washers and dryers. All of that led me to buy the RF217ACRS (or RF217ACPN) refrigerator. Its size was perfect for the kitchen I had and at first glance I thought it was a good apparatus.Surrounded by two weeks of having it delivered the refrigerator and freezer was intermittent. The freezer temperatures varied momentously and I ended up with a freezer of melted ice cream and thawed out harvest. I used blue-collar thermometers in both the refrigerator and freezer and quickly cultured that it only just ever kept the temperatures that were displaying on its digital readings. The blue-collar thermometers were positioned at uncommon areas and it soothe by no means matched. The freezer would be at -25 degrees one second and +30 degrees the next, all the while the digital gauge on the unit said it was -2 or 0. Coolness was constantly melting and refreezing.Thankfully, the pile unbendable to pick up this unit and give up a replacement. Idea I got a lemon, I just got a further Samsung RF217ACRS. Surrounded by a further month, the replacement unit (absolutely new, even if same develop) was dependability the same business. The pile unbendable to exchange it over again and I then quickly switched brands. After ditching Samsung, I'm lucky to say that I'm detective novel. I now have a refrigerator that cools and a freezer that freezes, but it is NOT a Samsung. It's amazing how lucky a consumer can be when an apparatus does what it is held to.Now, even if you influence to buy the RF217ACRS (or RF217ACPN) after reading about the problems I had, let me tell you about the facial appearance of the refrigerator. The stainless steel close is nice and the EZ Open Freezer handle is a splendid in tears. Even if, you will not get many facial appearance on the surrounded by. While the shelving units are adjustable, they do not chat ample. You can only chat them a link of inches in a few in rank. Most of the door shelves turn out to be too tiny to even use unless you just omit one of the shelves to boost the height of the others. Other units offer shelves with much more adjustable heights to them. After you look at other brands, you will see that Samsung missed the mark on crafty the interior of this unit. You can fit a gallon of milk in the doors, but don't even try to fit a one gallon pitcher of tea or a in tears akin on the shelves. The blast amount is a bit higher than I probable. It is not calm down, but it is manageable. The lighting is too dim. I know they are using LED illumination to save energy, but there desires to be more light. When notch the freezer door you often spill ice into the underside of the freezer or of poorer quality, your kitchen baffle. The ice maker comes down too far into the ice bucket causing it to knock cubes off when notch/dying the door.At the end of the day, I was by no means detective novel about the abilities or facial appearance of this Samsung refrigerator. When foremost problems surfaced, that just put the nails in the coffin. I was absolutely despondent with this develop and Samsung's consumer benefit (I did call them after the second malfunction). I cannot urge this develop and likely cannot urge any Samsung refrigerator.

After reading the issues from other people I had to tell our side on the coin. Purchased the first quarter of 2012. First we noticed the veggies where freezing in and out of thedraws, and not just veggies meat in the meat draw would also freeze. We have an alcove that the refrigerator fits into and we were told that the unit was to close to the top and sides this is why it freezes things.I have to admit maybe this is true We purchased door fans to put behind it. This helped for about a month. It has limited space that we did not like. I like two litter soda bottles which will not fit except in the door. We now have decided that it has to go and are going to buy a different brand. We did have freezer door handle occur rancid but we put it back on. Got to be careful how you grab it.
