I bought this thing for almost $1500, if memories serves, from a local sphere store. I was sucked in by its beautifully spacey interior--the vertical strip of lighting--and the commonly high ratings that Samsung refrigerators get from innumerable organizations. (Of course, this fastidious model I couldn't find the ratings for.)There is in fact not anything wrong with this thing. But after having it for about 6 months now, my inquiry is, is this refrigerator worth the $1200 alteration between one of those old-fashioned white things we used to have. Yes, the head of lettuce no longer freezes up. (But I'll bet there are those cheap white refrigerators that don't freeze their lettuce any.)I am amazed that for $1500 they still can't design an ice point that 1) doesn't spatter ice all over the floor and 2) make crystal clear ice like you get from dyed-in-the-wool ice apparatus. It doesn't seem like this would be too trying to add to the refrigerator. (When manufacturers do add this, it will be a game changer for refrigerator manufacturers the way spell-check was for word dispensation programs -- all will want to upgrade.)Also, this stainless steel is not attractive, so the full front of it is unable to be used for notes or no matter what thing. Also, the fingerprint conundrum has been horrendous with our kids. It requires relentless cleaning (even if wife did everlastingly go get some stainless steel cleaner from the store and it looks brand new again). There is a model with a uncommon surface called platina or a touch like that that is held to be attractive and lower fingerprints. You'd think that for $1500 they could make the water cold previous to it gets dispensed. I am also believe of the filter since when water drips on the modest tray under it, it leaves a big hard water spot. If the filter was effective, shouldn't it not do that?Anyhow, I am actually questioning whether I shouldn't have just bought one of those cheap $300 refrigerators.

Owned this RS267 refrigerator for a time now and it does a great job of keeping food fresh a long time compared to our $500 standard GE refrigerator. At first it was making a little more blast than probable but I discovered one of the back wheels wasn't quite touching the floor (refrigerator was level but not the floor). I put a piece of felt under that wheel and it became much more quiet. The LED lighting inside takes a while to get use to but you do. The ice maker is slow to make ice but we don't use too much ice anyway. If we turn the ice maker rancid now and again when we turn it back on again it doesn't work even though the panel set alight says it's on. Turning it rancid then on again always seems to fix the problem (sounds like a circuit board issue).

Don't just take my word for it, look up class action on Samsung fridges. I tried repairing this fridge twice with appliance repair companies to no aim. Although the refrigerator is fine the ice maker is an absolute nightmare. It cannot keep up with even minor demand. It jams constantly requiring a removal and ice flys all over the floor. It crushes even even if it is not on that setting. Frost builds up inside the icemaker. Also the front panel can easily be set incorrectly if you lean on it. It has shut down completely several times and required getting the blue-collar out to turn back on. I would not urge this and I will never buy another Samsung appliance.
