We bought all GE appliances when we remodeled a few years ago. The diswasher, stove and microwave were all fine, But I would never, ever in a million years buy a GE refrigerator again.There are a few good reviews here, and to them I would like to say "Congratulations! Either you got one of the rare non-lemon apparatus, or your refrigerator has not yet fallen apart." But the bad reviews are all the same as what I've experienced, and you will find many, many, many more of them when you visit other assess sites.From the start, there has been a leak inside the refrigerator, where it connects to the ice apparatus. Huge chunks of ice build up there and have to be evenly pried off with a screw driver. The extra liquid pooling where it's not held to be also creates a black mold boost ijnside the fridge that has to be cleaned up every few weeks.But that's not the worst. The worst is that this refrigerator (and primarily the freezer) WILL NOT HOLD A TEMPERATURE! If you buy this fridge, you're background physically up for food poisoning. Our freezer defrosts absolutely at least once a week lacking notification and for no wits. All of the ice in the ice apparatus melts absolutely. (We do not store equipment like meat in this freezer for this wits -- we use another, older freezer we're lucky to have downstairs.) Then all will refreeze, again, but at a degraded feature.And now the rubber gasket on the fridge has come completelly loose.We're out of warranty (the harms for all always seem to start as soon as the warranty runs out), and I've read that a fix will cost at least $900 -- half the price of the first unit. Unfortunately we just married off our daughter and refined a alter in the other part of the house, so we can't afford a new fridge. When we get one, even if, there is NO WAY IN HELL that it will be a GE. I will be boycotting GE on all for the rest of my life.

AT THIS POINT I AM WILLING TO SPEND ANOTHER $2000 TO BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND THAN TO PAY ANOTHER $200+ TO REPAIR THE EXISTING GE PROFILE REFRIGERATOR. I SHALL NEVER RECOMMEND GE PRODUCTS TO ANYONE. OUT OF MY GE PROFILE REFRIGERATOR, STOVE, MICROWAVE, OVENS, DISHWASHER, WASHER, DRYER, ONLY THE OVENS AND MICROWAVE AND WASHER AND DRYER WORKS WITHOUT HAVING TO BE REPAIRED. I HAD MY REF REPAIRED AUG2011 AND IT IS DOING THE SAME DAMN THING AGAIN.

Our GE Profile looks great - side by side with a nice fill up/ice point. We also bought a Master Safeguard Plan for 5 being with it.
