We just bought this refrigerator and it's by now broken. The compressor is on back order for a month. The repair guy said Vortex used to be a good brand but he's now replacing compressors frequently (probably why they're on back order). Vortex customer service is no help. Won't even give us a rental even as we're fridgeless for a month.

We have had this develop for only one week but we are very satisfied with this develop. Bright inside and big with a great design. The motor in other reviews we have read wad too noisy but we have not noticed this. When the fridge originally cooled down and the motor ran constantly after we first plugged it in, I thought maybe it would be a problem but now that the temps are where they must be, it doesnt run any more than our old one and is fairly quiet. We debated buying this fridge hostile to other brands, but after much online research and visits to supplies, we are very happy with our decision.
